I love Cerave products and I was looking forward to trying their cleanser. I was actually in the market for a new cleanser because the one I was previously using was not doing it for me. After trying the Cerave facial cleanser, I am officially hooked! It makes my skin clean without leaving it feeling dry and it definitely works to clean my skin. It has not caused me to have any breakouts which is a plus. I use it everyday and I will continue to use it! Highly recommend if you’re in the market for a new cleanser.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I need to get the one negative out of the way first. I am not a fan of the scent. There is a really odd, unpleasant smell when using this cleanser. This isn’t something that’s detracts from its effectiveness though. It’s just a little unpleasant whilst using. The cleanser itself seems like a really decent product. It cleansed my face really well, but didn’t strip it and make it feel tight. I’m always very careful when I use vitamin C, I only use it a few times a week, but it does a good job. I haven’t been using it long enough to notice any major differences, but it definitely cleanses the face. It’s not a super foamy formula, it does get a bit of lather, but not too much. The packaging is really nice, the pump works well, and you get a really good enough of product. Overall, I think this is a decent cleanser. However, if you’re sensitive to scents, you might want to see if there’s a way to test it out before committing to a bigger bottle.

However, the pump failed soon after I started using it. It got stuck in the down position and will not budge. I wish it came in a squirt bottle or tube instead. It is a good enough budget cleanser, nothing special, but the failure of the pump did not leave me with a great impression.

It left my face feeling clean, but not stripped and I do feel like it added a very subtle glow over time. Doesn’t lather much but enough to work even with a double cleanse.
