About the Book

In the digital age, is artificial intelligence the new god? In this profound essay, Claudia Paganini develops a highly controversial philosophical thesis: for the first time, human beings -- rather than merely imagining a god -- have created one. Artificial intelligence is increasingly assuming functions previously reserved exclusively for religion, among them providing meaning and direction to life, and offering answers available at any moment. We no longer pray. Now, we click. With analytical acuity and theological insight, Paganini examines the spiritual consequences of this development, demonstrating that -- at the dawn of the third millennium -- artificial intelligence could come to replace not only humans but even God Himself. A provocative reflection at the intersection of religion and technology.
