I have made so many different recipes n this crockpot. It produces an even perfectly cooked meal every time. It is also very easy to clean and the size makes it very easy to store. The lid holder is an added bonus. The color goes well with my other kitchen appliances. I have found no negatives with this crockpot and I have used it multiple times.

I love that this crockpot has a timer then will automatically turn to warm after your time is up. The lid holder was kind of tricky to use and read the instructions to clearly understand. The cord wraps up easy behind and super easy clean up. The actually unit is light weight with glass insert that can be washed in the dishwasher.

I like the touch controls, it makes it easy to use especially for my elderly in-laws. The crock has gliding nonstick surface and looks heavy-duty. I love that it has lid rest so I’ll have less mess to deal with. I just wish the lid had a vent. Otherwise, I don’t have any issue.

I am an elderly woman and found them to be hard for me to use. I made chili and it came out ok, but you cannot do much to ruin chili. I would rather have the old fashioned rotary controls

You also have the option to select how many hours you would like to have the crockpot heating, you can select from 2 hours to 10 days. I think my favorite feature is the lid holder and cord holder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 5 qt slow cooker is great. It’s easy to operate and more importantly easy to clean. What I especially like is being able to manually set the temperature (low, medium, or high) and the time you want for that temperature. My previous slow cookers would not allow that. I haven’t used the lock for the lid yet but that will be really handy if I want to transport my cooking. I also like the ability to hang the lid off the side rather than setting it down on the counter. All in all, I’m very happy and satisfied with this slow cooker

It has 3 heat settings and you can choose between 2-10 hours cook time. I also love the lid rest, makes serving so much easier and less messy. This is a good sized crock pot that can hold up to a 5 lb chicken. I love the sleek design and how easy it is to use.

It has temperature settings for warm, low, and high heat and settings for 2 hours to 10 hours in 2 hour increments. This crockpot has a very handy feature to hold the lid, which is very convenient when serving. Having a cord wrap ensures no messy cords when not in use. This slow cooker has well thought out features and I'm very happy with it.

I often use my slow cooker while I am away at work. I arrive home to a pot of hot, tender meat, that tastes like I slaved over the stove all day cooking. This pot is 5 quarts, so it holds a nice sized roast, or a plump chicken with veggies. It is programmable, so I can fix it, and forget it. The slow cooker basically does all of the work. I don't have to worry when using this appliance. Fast food is over priced for mediocre food. With my Hamilton Beach slow cooker, I can purchase affordable cuts of meat, that I know will come out tender and juicy. This allows me to save a significant amount of money when feeding my family. The price of the slow cooker is very affordable, and it basically pays for itself in a month, or two, with use. This is a high-quality brand, that delivers durable, long lasting, appliances. I have trusted, and used, Hamilton Beach in my home for years. I highly recommend this reliable slow cooker, and the brand, to everyone who likes to cook, and/or eat.

It is just the right size, has easy to use controls, comes with a lid holder so you have somewhere to hang the lid without needing to lay it down on the counter and is easy to clean. The only negative thing to say about it is that it seems to be just a tad bit smaller than my older slow cooker, so I would just have to keep that in mind when making recipes in the future.

The slow cooker is a very good size for a family. It has very innovative attachment that one way works as a lid holder and turned another way as a cord holder. That is a wonderful feature. Another great feature is how after the preset time it goes to warm automatically. I am not worried that my meal will be over cooked, if I am not present when the my food should be finished. Since receiving the slow cooker I cooked a spiral sliced ham, made stock with the ham bone, chili, vegetable beef soup, and French toast casserole. I cooked our NewYear’s spiral sliced ham in it and it was the best ham I have had in a longtime. A 7 pound ham fit perfectly. It kept the ham moist and there was a good amount of liquid to make a great tasting glaze. Everyone enjoyed it. The best part was my oven was open to put all the side dishes in. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a larger Hamilton Beach slow cooker, which I love, but decided to try a smaller one since it's just my husband and I. I like slow cookers for beef and pork roasts especially. Things I like about this smaller 5 quart cooker: fits a chicken or smaller roast, very easy to serve food from it, very easy to clean. The built in lid rest did not impress me. It's not needed.

Just use the settings and walk away. Clean up is also easy if you use a cooking bag. Unit does not take up much space for its size. We have used the cooker for soups and stews. Everything has turned out fantastic.

It cooks evenly and being able to select a time means that you don't have to be near it when it reaches cooking time. It also holds a good amount but not overly large so it's perfect for a single person, couple, or small family. I have made soups, queso, and a ham so far. All have came out perfectly.

It is compact which makes it so easy to store under the cabinet and making it so easy to grab and to use which is a bonus. It has multiple digital programmable cooking options, which is a great feature and it does exactly what it is meant to do. After the cooking time is done, it automatically switches over to warm, which is a great feature, so you don't have to worry about your food getting cold if you can't serve it right away. All of the controls are on the front of the cooker, and they are very easy to read which is a plus.The 5 quart size is great for my family of 2 plus, it can vary at times. It is also very easy to clean. The handles are large and secure making it very easy to lift and to move the ceramic dish from the cooker, so you can serve it at the table. The ceramic dish is very sturdy. I like the way the lid fits well and the built in lid rest holds the lid securely in place when needed (see picture) therefore avoiding the moisture on the counter and having the moisture go back in to the pot. The lid rest can also be turned to also act as a cord wrap, which is really great for storing and for keeping the cord safely out of the way. One of the things I made was a chicken vegetable soup which cooked everything perfect. I really have nothing negative to say about this slow cooker as it works as it should and I really enjoy using it as it is very convenient and the meals turn out great. I would recommend it.

I wish it also had clamps for transport, but I do love the auto switch feature from cooking mode to low. This is a must have for me. The lid is easier to clean than others and fits in the dishwasher very well, too.
