The size is perfect for a newborn right up to a toddler. It's super soft agains the baby's skin and definitely absorbs the water from bath time. The hood is large enough to easily fit any size head and get the hair dry.

The absorbency is great and it’s big enough for my one year old after a bath. I’ve washed it a few times but only hang dry it as I’m worried about shrinkage. The pattern is so gorgeous, with neutrally colored lions and other African animals. It’s great for both male and female babies alike. The hood is also a nice feature, as it helps towel off soft baby hair and keeps the baby warm while they’re being dried off. I also love the small loop at the top of the hood, which makes it easy to hang it up to dry afterwards. I haven’t had it long so I can’t say much about durability and any safety issues but it looks like it’ll last till my baby outgrows it. Absorbs water nicely for a dry baby :) The only reason why I have it 4 starts is because it had a very strong factory : chemical smell that went away after two washes. Besides that, I think this is a great product.
