Disconnecting Monitor
Bought this to resolve issues with external monitor not waking up after computer goes to sleep. Now with this dock, the monitor will randomly go black while I'm working and not come back on without powering the dock down and turning it back on. Dissapointed.

Incompatible With Workstation
This item was recommended for purchase with P16v Gen 3, but is not fully compatible with it. I called asking for an exchange multiple times and got ghosted. This item also has power issues. My monitor frequently turn off, flicker, or reset due to lack of power.

Not great for ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 Intel (16") Mobile
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Does not fully charge ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 Intel (16") Mobile Workstation with Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 285H. This dock supplies maxium 100W and will not supply 140W required to charge ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 Intel (16") Mobile Workstation. I cannot find a Lenovo docking station that only uses one cable to supply 140W from a docking station to charge my laptop. I am a bit disapointed that I have to plug in a second 140W power supply plus the docking station thundebolt cable to fully charge my Lenovo thinkpad.

Does not work using signal converters
Did not work with my P1 Gen 7 laptop. Using it for broadcast work that requires multiple monitor outputs using broadcast converters. Once the converters were in place the monitor signal did not pass through.

Thunderbolt Docking Station
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am mostly happy with this docking station. It appears to be well thought out. My only concern is that there are several docks with more features for the same or less money. However, I don't know how well they work. This dock does what it says it will do so to that extent, I am very happy with it.

Good, but problematic under Linux.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Works great under Windows, but it seems there's a kernel bug in Fedora that means it'll cause hard locks when connected or disconnected during sleep. Nice to have extra USB and USB-C ports plus thunderbolt pass through.

Great Dock for Workstations
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Great dock for workstations. I was previously using a USB-C dock, but it does not provide enough power to power my P16 laptop. I upgraded to the Thunderbolt 4 Workstation dock so I can charge my laptop and utilize a single connection for power, displays, and network connection. Highly recommend if you have a workstation requiring up to 230W of power. The bulky power adaptor sucks to carry around otherwise.

Almost great dock
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good: Lots of ports. The power and thunderbolt connector separate so it works with non-ThinkPad computers. Does it's job well. The Bad: The power connector comes with a rubber ring around the metal which prevents it from being inserted enough to power the computer. It must be cut off before it can be used. The thunderbolt cable is also really short.

This dock has limitations.
The quality of the dock is good, but it has a known limitation not disclosed in the product description. In spite of having (an enormous) 230 watt power supply, it cannot pass enough power to a laptop that uses a 140 watt power supply. This required me to buy an additional 140 watt supply, which Lenovo does not have in stock. It’s an unusual voltage (28V), which I finally found from a third party. Also note that rather than a single connection from the dock to a laptop, it uses an awkward double cable with two connectors that need to be plugged in every time. In the case of my new laptop (Thinkpad P16 G3), the dedicated power cable half couldn’t even be used, as it had the wrong connector type. This may all be the result of limitations in USB-C power limitations, but it is disappointing that the product is not described accurately.
