Description

About the Book

Just because your body keeps functioning or you don't feel pain doesn't mean you're in good health. The body doesn't negotiate: it compensates... until it's exhausted. Radiologist Amad Abu-Suboh has spent years observing his patients from the inside, seeing people who seemed to be "fine" until an image proved otherwise. From that privileged vantage point -- where the invisible becomes visible -- an uncomfortable lesson emerges: what matters isn't always bothersome, and what scares us most isn't always the most relevant. This book proposes a new mental framework for understanding everyday biology: stress turned into identity, the hyper-alertness we mistake for productivity, the automatic habits that shape the body, and medical information that, without context, turns into confusion and fear. These pages guide you in developing a more mindful approach to your health: distinguishing signal from noise, understanding what helps you -- and what wears you down -- and, above all, regaining physiological margin before the urgent dictates your choices. "The absence of pain is a silence, not a certificate." -- Dr. Amad Abu-Suboh

About the Author
