Worked great while it lasted
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My entire ecosystem is Galaxy stuff, from phone to headphones to watch to ring. I added the ring because I wanted to keep better track of my health. It worked great for a while, then the battery just went out. It won't even hold a charge overnight. I don't seem to be the only one having this issue, and Samsung hasn't seemed to address it at all, which is concerning.

Very bad product
Really, this product is a total scam, it was 400 dollars lost so that it only lasts less than a year, I used it to measure my quality of sleep and now I put it to charge before sleeping and it only lasts 2 hours on, it does not measure anything at all, and I can repair it and they charge me 120 dollars more and they do not give me a guarantee that it will be perfect, it is a real scam, I should accept that it is a manufacturing problem in the comments, you can see that it happens to everyone, it does not last longer than One year the battery, do not buy it.

Battery quit after 1 year. Disappointed.
I liked the watch at the beginning, because I didn't have to wear watch sleeping. Over time, the ring would disconnect often from phone. Unfortunately, the battery quit charging after the one year warranty ended. I could have sent in to repair, but cost more than buying another ring. After reading several reviews on here, it seems Samsung has a known battery issue on the ring. Most right after the year warranty expired. Samsung should do the right thing and offer free battery replacement.

Hi there John, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We value your insights as we make improvements on our product line to align with the needs of our customer base. To quickly resolve an unresponsive Galaxy Ring, please place your device inside its charging case, then press and hold the case's multipurpose button for more than 7 seconds to reboot your device. Here's a few additional steps that may help get your Galaxy Ring functioning as intended: Skin oil and debris can block the copper charging contacts. Please wipe the inside of the ring and the charging case with a clean, dry cloth. Next, make sure that the the small bump on the outer band aligns with the orange marker on the inside of the charging case. Then, connect your charging case to a power source with the ring placed inside and allow both to charge fully. Also, keep in mind that Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offers Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. For your convenience, I have shared some resources below for your review. Please take a moment to check those out and let us know if you would like any further assistance afterward by contacting Samsung Support. We're happy to assist you in every way possible. Died right after warranty lapsed
Like so many people have said, when the ring hit 1 year old, it died. I was a week outside my warranty when the battery took a nosedive. It wouldn't even last a day. I had already replaced it under warranty once or twice, so this really surprised me. I worked with their warranty department and asked if there was anything that they could do, but the only answer I got was to buy a new one. I love Samsung. Everything Samsung. But i really hope they can redesign this to be a little more resilient.

Battery failed days after warranty ended
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started loving my galaxy ring. It definitely replaced my smartwatch for something lighter. Specially going to events where a smartwatch doesn't quite work with the outfit. Unfortunately the battery seems to have an expiration date. And suddenly I would go from 4-5days between charges to just hours. As I check on forums, It seems to be a common problem with the ring. I tried to take it to the Samsung experience store and they confirmed that the battery needs to be replaced and it would cost me $150 for a year old device, just because I missed the warranty window by a couple days. I understand that this is a first generation product but that incident just turned a device that growing on my and I was loving wearing it paired with my phone and my Samsung watch to just be a old piece of tech decorating my nightstand drawer.

Ring was not durable. After a software update within a year the ring's battery didn't even last a day. It wasn't even wearable as part of the sensor was detaching from the inside and rubbing my finger raw. It didn't last a year.

Perfect addition to the group
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the ring. It does everything I need it to do. It's a lot easier to sleep in the ring than it is in the watch. The only thing is remembering to put my watch on in the morning. Sometimes I wear both and I'm sure they have their own way of splitting up what they do.

Works well, until it doesn't
I purchased the ring for a couple of different reasons. The first is that I find it uncomfortable to wear my smartwatch at night to track my sleep, so this ring was able to fill that gap for me. When I first got it I wore it along with my watch to see how good the tracking worked and it was pretty close to my fitness tracker in my watch. So that earns it a check in my book. The second reason I purchased it was because I carry two phones and have 2 different ecosystems. Monday through Friday, I have a competitor watch and phone due to the requirements of my job. On the weekends, I wear my galaxy watch. However, I carry both phones almost all the time. I wanted to have my health data to be consistent, so I picked up the ring so I'm not wearing two watches at the same time. The ring has allowed me to keep my health track consistent day to day. The 3rd reason was to replace the Bluetooth functionality we lost in the s pen in the ultra models. Admittedly, it's a fairly minor reason but it was a justification for me nonetheless. The ring worked great up until about 2 months ago. I noticed the battery seemed to run out much faster than I anticipated. Then I started having issues with it not staying connected to my phone. Now it takes an act of God just to get it to charge on a regular basis. The case can be completely charged but then it won't charge the ring for some reason. Ive tried several different solutions that I found on the forums but nothing seems to work for more than a week or two. Im not saying its a complete dud, but I probably waited until a gen 2 version so that they could work out the kinks. For the price they charge, it's not a good purchase, in my opinion. After a year, It still looks pretty good, its light weight, and works well when it wants to, the problem is that I'm never sure when it wants to work. I will take it off the charger after an hour or two, then it may not connect to my phone, or the battery may die halfway through the day. Its too finicky for me, i don't want to have to think about it every time I put it on, I just want it to work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the ring first came out I was one of the first in line. Since having it, I have retired from the military and started worlds travel. I love the Watch Ultra, by but since I'm retired I don't care what time it is lol. So the ring still gets all my stats and you're able to see it all in the app. You can keep track of your sleep without wearing the watch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my ring when I first got it. Then a few months ago the battery life when from nearly a week to a couple days. Then a few weeks ago it won't last a day, not even 8 hours overnight. I can NOT recommend this and I absolutely LOVE all the Samsung phones and tablets I've had and still have. I also bought an extra ring charger last year and that second one now doesn't hold much of a charge.

Terrible Battery
This is the second one with failed battery in less than a year. Both my wife and I purchased the ring and replaced both under warranty then in about three months the battery failed again. Just buy Ringcon or Oura. Stay away from this overpriced usless product.

Battery failute two different rings
I liked the ring and its tracking, However, I'm on my second and the battery is failing again and won't hold a charge for a full day anymore, just after the year mark on warranty. Both rings did the same thing, battery failure just past the one year mark. I won't be paying to repair or using the product again.

Horrible battery that barely lasts a year
The battery failed in 10 months. It was replaced. It failed again 10 months later. Guess what? I'm now out of warranty. Samsung took no ownership of this. Provided no recourse or resolution. And basically said too bad so sad suck an egg. I have a ton of Samsung products, and it may be time for me to start looking at other brands. This is not how I expected a brand of this size to take care of a known problem with their crappy product.

Pathetic Battery
I am a loyal Samsung customer for years. I might be among the few who uses android phones. I love my Samsung Fold 5 phone which I am using for 3 years now without any issues but the battery on the ring is horrible. It doesn't even last a few hours. It dropped in performance as it was completing its warranty timeline which makes me question Samsung's build quality even more. I am really questioning if I should go for an upgrade with a new Samsung ring or shall I go with Oura

Hello Frustrated loyalist, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We value your feedback as we continue to improve the performance and functionality of our product line to align with our customer's needs. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ that is similar to extended warranty and an insurance package combined that provides protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It would cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you that peace of mind when added to your eligible devices (Phones, Tablets, Watches, Buds, Rings & PCs). Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. With the Galaxy Ring, you're able to slip your device on and forget it with a seven-day charge that won’t slow you down. Combined with a full cradle charge, you can use Galaxy Ring for up to 14 days without plugging into an outlet. We understand how frustrated you may be to not have your device performing as it was during your unboxing. Here's a few precautions: Prevent the ring from being exposed to dust, sweat, ink, oil, and chemical products such as cosmetics, antibacterial sprays, hand cleaners, detergents, and insecticides. The ring’s exterior and interior may become damaged, which may result in poor performance. If the ring is exposed to any of these substances, clean it using a soft, lint-free cloth. Never use external heat sources, ultrasonic waves, soap, cleaning agents, abrasive materials, or compressed air to clean the ring. Doing so may damage the ring.
