Very complicated
This set of robots is for 10 year old plus kids and it is incredibly hard to put together. Some of the little pieces snap apart when trying to get them out of the mold even using tin snips. Will probably be cool when finished. But I as an adult have already put several hours into the kit and am only 25% done. Not for kids.

Complicated
This was not for us. I have 4 kids that love putting together products like these, but it was too much for them. Instructions says 2-4 hours; we got arms done in an hour. That’s when we gave up. It was just not for us.

Great for those who are a glutton for punishment
When I first got this, I thought it would be a fun activity for my husband and twin boys to do together but BOY was I wrong. The idea is super cute and I loved that they could play with something that they put together with their dad and it would make a fun memory. Again wrong. My boys were able to successfully assemble. **ONE** of the battle bots. It took almost an hour of assembly every night for a total of five hours for half of the toy. They ultimately quit trying because they didn’t want to spend another five hours for something that requires this much assembly. I would highly recommend that the company consider sending the parts ready to assemble instead of all attached to the trays. Each individual piece has to be sanded with a nail file prior to assembly otherwise there are sharp ridges on each piece. Overall, it’s a total miss for me. I would not recommend this to anyone with kids around 10 years old. It is more suited for 13 and up.

Fun!
This is a great stem toy. My son is 11 and has been able to do most of it on his own. There was an issue with a couple of the pieces and I contacted customer support and they quickly responded and are sending the pieces to me. My son has completed one of the robots and it is really cool to watch it box. Love how they lean too. It does take some time to build, but it's worth it in the end. Even the instructions are detailed and show the length of time for each step.

Fun For The Whole Family
Thank you to Influenster and to Thames and Kosmos for providing me with their Thames & Kosmos Hydraulic Bots for free in exchange for my honest review. This kit features two bots, an orange kangaroo bot and a blue Robo-Boxer bot. Each bot must be assembled. The kit comes with 327 pieces that range from small to tiny. This project is recommended for children 12 and up to assemble alone or 10 and up with an adult. It can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to build each bot. The 40-page manual is colorful and comes with pictures. This is a challenging build! In order to put these bots together, you will need scissors or diagonal cutters to cut all of the pieces off of the frame. You will need a nail file to file down any plastic edges. You will also need a felt-tip marker and a cup filled with tap water. This STEM toy combines hands-on engineering, mechanical learning, and a competitive 2-player fighting game. Each player can score by knocking back the interchangeable head of the other player's bot. This kit also comes with a scoreboard to keep track.

Patience required
These hydraulic boxing bots take a lot of time and patience to put together and build. My child is 8 and it took 4 sessions of 1 hour each time. She loves playing with them now that they’re together!

These are so cool
Let me start by saying that it took a long time to build these guys. But in the end it was so well worth it. They work amazingly and they are so much fun.

Fun building kit
The hydraulic boxing bots kits is a fun and education activity to completed with your kid or allow and older child to complete. It’s consists of several sheets of plastic parts that have to be cut out with snips (not included) and then put together. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and overall assembly for us was about three hours. Once put together the bots are controlled with the hydraulic lines (water and air) to make the bots punch and lean side to side. Overall it was a fun build to complete and the completed bots are very neat and fun to battle with!

Educational and Fun Boxing Bots
THAMES & KOSMOS creates high-quality educational toys. I recently got the opportunity to test out their Hydraulic Boxing Bots. This is perfect for fans of brick building sets who may have started to outgrow the traditional building activity. I received this product compliments of Influenster in exchange for my honest review. The boxing bots require dedicated attention to building correctly; this is a wonderful project for two people. It will take time, but is very rewarding. Once built, the boxing fun begins.

Fun and Educational STEM Kit
This STEM kit kept me and my child busy in a good way. Building the boxing bots was exciting, and we loved testing how they moved after we finished. It helped us learn about simple engineering while having fun together. It's a great kit for kids.
