Description

About the Book

A groundbreaking, evidence-based workbook that replaces one-size-fits-all eating disorder treatment with a personalized path to recovery. Drawing on cutting-edge research in precision psychology, this workbook helps readers identify the specific thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and co-occurring conditions that drive and maintain their eating disorder--and guides them toward targeted tools that actually work. Designed for faster, more effective change, it empowers readers to focus only on what matters most for their recovery.

Book Synopsis

Your eating disorder isn't generic. Your recovery shouldn't be either.

Eating disorders show up differently for everyone. Two people with the same diagnosis can struggle with completely different thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and challenges--yet most treatments still take a one-size-fits-all approach. The Personalized Workbook for Eating Disorder Recovery offers something radically different: a recovery plan built specifically for you.

This innovative workbook helps you identify the exact factors that are keeping your eating disorder going--whether that's fear of weight gain, body dissatisfaction, anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, impulsivity, or difficulty regulating emotions. Using a comprehensive self-assessment, you'll pinpoint your top drivers and be guided directly to targeted treatment modules designed to address your specific needs.

Drawing from the most effective evidence-based approaches--including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure therapy, mindfulness, and behavioral activation--this workbook allows you to focus your energy where it will make the biggest difference. You'll work through practical, research-backed exercises that address both eating behaviors and the thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and co-occurring conditions that maintain them.

Discover targeted tools to help you manage:

  • Anorexia nervosa
  • Bulimia nervosa
  • Binge eating disorder
  • And other specified feeding and eating disorders (OSFED)

Whether you've tried treatment before without success or are just beginning your recovery journey, this personalized, precision-based approach helps you feel seen, understood, and empowered--so you can move beyond symptom management and toward lasting recovery.
