About the Author

Margery Williams was born in July of 1882. She was an English-American author of numerous novels and children's books, most notably The Velveteen Rabbit. She is also the author of The Little Wooden Doll, The Skin Horse, as well as many other highly regarded children's works. She passed away in 1944, just before the end of World War II.

Lee Holland is a freelance illustrator who has worked as an artist for over twenty years. From enamels painting, to magazine, greeting card, and children's book illustration, he has found many ways to express his passion for woodland characters, including in his books Grandma's Promise, Grandpa's Promise, Grandma's Blessing, and Grandpa's Blessing. He lives in the Staffordshire countryside of the United Kingdom with his partner and two children.
