  • A: Hi Steven. Great question, the arc does not telescope or adjust in length. The lamp is a fixed 72" height with a fixed arc extension of 50" from center of pole to outside edge of shade.

Don't buy this lamp!

This is a really poorly designed product. I thought a was replacing a lamp I had previously bought. The lamp is exceedingly difficult to assemble and not adjustable. It’s very unsteady. The prior version was adjustable and had twistable fasteners to ensure stability. The lamp hangs down and you can see the cord - it looks incredibly cheap. Shame on the product manager, designer, engineer, quality assurance team. and most of leaders for developing such a crappy product. All this to just to make a buck at the expense of usability and quality.

Interrogation room ready

The lamp itself is nice. Easy to put together but the shade does not have a diffuser so you will be blinded and feel like you’re being interrogated. Even with a softer light it’s awful. Purchasing a diffuser separately to correct the issue. If that doesn’t fix it then back it goes.

Great quality but packaging was messy

Great quality but packaging was messy. The base was covered with all the foam and difficult to grab and it’s the first thing we needed to take out since it was all connected and the base was heavy. Made a huge mess but worth it.

Lamp replacement

This lamp replaced one that was the same model which we bought from you 6 years ago. It started blinking thus the replacement. But we don't like the shade as much as the older one. All in all it's fine.

It's okay

I should have listened to the reviews! It is difficult to put together and kind of cheap looking. The cord is too long and hard to figure out. But for the price it’s a good buy.

At first was great - now not so much

Less than a year old and the metal frame is sagging. The arm can’t support the weight of the lamp causing it to hang lower and lower each day.

Bare light bulb shows from underneath. Not pleasant

The lamp is nice but there is no diffuser on the bottom of the shade. When you are sitting on the couch, the bare light bulb shines in your eyes.

Hi - that is correct, the shade is open at the bottom. If you are using a clear glass bulb we'd suggest using a frosted glass bulb instead. You can also try a slightly lower wattage bulb to help cut doen the brightness. Try those suggestions and see how they work for you. Thank you for the comments.

The level of light is what is needed for the room.

Have never had an arched light before and was curious how it would fit in where extra light was needed, not by straight overhead lighting so I like height and corner in which extra lighting was needed. My only wish was to get a lamp shad that was a little more brown like my lampshades on the table lamps.
