Perfect size
This is so great for cookies. It gives a uniform shape and the perfect size. I use it for sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies and monster cookies! I have had it for years with no sign of breaking.

Not worth the frustration
I bought 3. they constantly break and misalign quickly. While scooping cookie dough, the scrapper/wiper blade becomes detached from the scoop causing the dough to have to be scraped out with your finger or spoon.

I've used multiple cookie scoops from other brands and quickly realized that I needed to do some research to find a durable scoop that would handle frequent use, felt comfortable to squeeze, and wouldn't rust. Honestly I should have known to try OXO from the beginning, and in my research found blog and forum posts recommending OXO Good Grips cookie scoops. While my first medium OXO scoop broke after about 2 years, it was my most solid, durable, comfortable, and reliable scoop for classic sized cookies.

Hope the second one lasts longer
The gear on the bottom of the shaft stopped holding its place, during my first batch of cookies. So, the "sweeper" that cleans out the dough wouldn't move. Target sent me a new one......NO problems with Target customer service! If I had a welder, I could probably fix the old one with a tack weld. But, not going to pay that much to fix a $15 scoop.

Oxo brand is the best!
The Oxo brand releases easily, comfortable to hold, washes up easily in dishwasher and performs well with stiff or softer dough, Worth the price! I originally bought a cheaper knockoff thinking I was saving money but was extremely disappointed. The Oxo brand is the best!

Waste of money
Save your money and do not buy. Arm to dispense dough will not move when the scoop is filled and the gear slips which also allows the arm to end up out side of the scoop. Thankfully target has a great return policy and I was able to take it back!

Easy to use but not durable
Easy to use, good portion size but did not hold up. Came undone when scooping up chocolate chip cookie dough. I was able to put it back together but durability was not up to par.
