To clear up the confusion—the Touch Bar (that thin, glowing touch-sensitive strip) was a feature only found on certain MacBook Pro laptops. Apple has never put a Touch Bar on any iPad model. Instead, iPads use two different types of "biometric" security: Touch ID (Fingerprint) or Face ID (Facial Recognition). Here is the breakdown for the iPad Air M4 and other models: 1. iPad Air (M4) — Fingerprint Reader The iPad Air M4 does not have the fingerprint reader on the front screen like the old iPads. Instead, the fingerprint sensor is built into the Top Power Button. How it works: Your daughter just rests her finger on the power button to unlock it. It’s very fast and tucked away. 2. iPad Pro (M4) — Face ID If you want a model where she doesn't have to touch a fingerprint sensor at all, the iPad Pro is the only model that uses Face ID. How it works: It uses sensors at the top of the screen to scan her face as soon as she looks at it, just like the newer iPhones. Note: The iPad Pro does not have a fingerprint reader. Instead, it attaches to the back of the iPad and the bottom edge using a system called the Smart Connector. The iPad Air (M4) is filled with strong internal magnets. When you bring an Apple-branded keyboard (like the Magic Keyboard or Smart Folio) near the back of the iPad, it will "snap" into perfect alignment. There are no clips, sliders, or straps required. I ordered my product online and whoever the delivery drives was threw my package over the gate in the parking lot of my apartment complex and it got stolen. The package wasn’t even delivered to my door it was out in the open in the parking lot and someone saw it and took it cuz the driver didn’t not car to call or at least kept it but no he threw it over the gate and now I’m out of and iPad.
