Perhaps I purchased a defective one? Packed cold drinks and ice for a road trip. Everything was melted within three hours in an air conditioned car. Like the size and the style, but I am going to return it as it didn’t do the job.

Something most consumers may not know is that a cooler’s performance is directly related to the amount of ice placed inside it. This is the same for coolers all across the market. Results will also vary according to the ambient temperature, which is the temperature outside the bag and in the bag before filling. Many factors can impact the length of time any items stay cold or frozen, including the type of ice. Cubed ice is best, similar to what is available at most corner stores or service stations. Also, the starting temperature of the contents, the temperature surrounding the ice, etc. can all impact the melting point. Ice packs or ice substitutes with a lower freezing point are preferable on extra hot days and starting with already cold contents. Ice packs or ice substitutes can also focus the cold better than loose ice cubes. Description says this is 12.25" tall, it is not. It is 9.5" tall and therefore too small for what I needed. Potentially a good cooler, but I cant use it.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. I seen many review and complain nothing fits and yes it’s very small if you leave the hard plastic bin in there. I removed it and has way more room! I think the plastic container inside is only for cans. If you want to use it for a lunch box just remove it works way better!

This does not avoid leaks from melting ice since it is only a velcro closure. In theory it sounds convenient, but stay clear if you plan to use ice ever. Ice packs only it keeps everything cool for a long time. I had to use ice since I was at a conference and it melted rather quickly and left a pool of water.

Great cooler...perfect for packing a large lunch, few drinks
This is a great cooler, great price point. I bought it for my daughter is working an outdoor summer job, where she doesn't have a refrigerator for her lunch. After 10 hours, her ice pack is still mostly frozen, and if she has any leftover food, it's still cool. They tray at the top is handy for keeping the food seperated (she complained some of her food frozen if laying by her ice pack), and is handy for keeping items from getting crushed. I also love that just closes with a velcro type tab. Less to malfunction (I have a soft sided RTIC with a broken zipper). I kinda wish it had a shorter strap/handle, but otherwise, great cooler. High recommend.
