Worth every penny!

Beautiful color, smooth performance, and all-around enhances the gaming experience. I was skeptical about spending so much on a monitor, but it's worth it; I wish I had bought one sooner.

I didn’t know how much better games will look on an OLED monitor. What a crazy difference I don’t think I could game back on a non OLED

Quality monitor

An amazing monitor, I knew this monitor was going to be an upgrade from my XB2 but I didn't believe it was going to be such a noticeable difference. Hopefully next year I can get another one to replace the Samsung so both will be the same. Colors are vibrant, the monitor handles all my Call of Duty frame rates and World of Warcraft 25 man raid graphics. Beautiful monitor and highly suggest it.

ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACDNG Review

I recently upgraded to the XG27ACDNG from my Acer Predator XB271HU (1440p, IPS, 165hz, no HDR). Firstly: WOW. Being able to see inky blacks for the first time on my new monitor was akin to a colorblind person putting on special glasses and seeing a new part of the world. One instance I really loved this new feature was when I was exploring dimly-lit areas in games. Those true blacks add to the overall atmosphere, and really help to further a sense of immersion. The OLED display, 10 bit color depth, HDR certainly disappoint, either. After setting up and calibrating HDR for my monitor, through the monitor’s onboard configuration, the official ASUS software (minor gripe, it’s extremely poorly optimized. the sliders in the software would lag extremely bad when I moved them, and the software was a hog for my PC’s resources), and through Windows settings, I went online to find a lossless piece of test video to see how much of a difference I could recognize. It didn’t disappoint! The depth of the colors was truly something to be praised, and really pushed the boundaries of a monitor’s limitations on photorealism. As for the frame rate and response time, the difference going from 165hz 4ms to 360hz 0.3ms was immediately noticeable. Between the OLED display (some people note that they feel more responsive than IPS panels), over double the frame rate, and the response time dropping to nearly zero, gaming has never felt so smooth and responsive to me. Experiencing the massive drop in overall latency of these sectors felt like experiencing something I hadn’t thought possible. Lastly, regarding ASUS’ onboard pixel cleaning/maintenance features: They’re very good. You’re able to configure how often your monitor reminds you to perform scheduled maintenance through the settings. As for the pixel cleaning itself, after selecting it, your monitor’s screen will go black as it automatically performs the pixel cleaning process. The process takes approximately between 5-8 minutes each time I use it. All-in-all, besides a caveat in the optimization of the ASUS’ monitor configuration software, I have no gripes about this monitor whatsoever. It’s a pleasure to use, and looks stellar. If you’re the type who enjoys configuring small image settings, ASUS has you covered. If you’d rather set it up and get straight into the action, ASUS has got some great presets to choose from as well. I’d confidently rate this monitor a 95/100.
