More than just a distant sibling to the PG27UCDM
I can't say enough about how good this monnitor is! I own the sibling of this monitor as well a PG27UCDM. As many reviews state, this is the "stripped down" version of the 27UCDM. I use that term loosley as it only loses Dolby Vision and DP 2 .1a. I own an Astral 5090 so having the DP 2.1 was important for my daily driver. I must admit, having this as my 2nd monitor is a dream come true. Text Clarity, Speed, color...I could go on and on. While it doesn't have 2.1, you can still use it with DSC to achieve the full 240hz. I can't say it enough times, outside of the 27ucdm, there is NOT ANY OTHER MONITOR BETTER. Asus keeps leveling up the game and this is onen of their best creations.

Pricey, but worth it.
I recently decided to go with a dual monitor setup and starting doing my homework and decided to go with the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG as my main monitor. I've been using the Asus ROG Strix XG32UQ for a little over a year and was pleased with the brand and so I wanted something to match. Well the XG27UCDMG blows the XG32UQ out of the water in terms of clarity, depth of colors, and crispness of screen. I am using my XG32UQ as a secondary monitor (in Portrait mode) and I am seriously considering replacing it with a second XG27UCDMG and will be giving my son the XG32UQ for his gaming setup. The only thing stopping me from giving this monitor a 5 star review is the on/off button. In order to turn the monitor off, you have to select it from an option after pressing the power button. It would be much simpler if you could simply press the button to turn it off.

Best upgrade to my setup I could've possibly made
Beautiful monitor, it's my first time using an oled and it just blows my mind away. I'm not even using it optimally either; I'm still on a 3060 ti atm and only getting about 60 fps in stellar blade at 4k, but the color, contrast, text, everything just pops out to you. Osd is very simple and straightforward to use, with lots of modes available. My favorite is console hdr with dynamic brightness boost enabled. Not the most accurate colors, but they look really good. Just find an area with bright sunlight and get ready to be blown away. If you want more accurate or consistent colors you can use the hdr 400 mode, but imo you lose a lot of that wow factor from hdr that way. The glossy coating as well is so beautiful, if you've only ever used matte lcds like me you'll love it. The image is clearer than you can imagine, and even with a small light on overhead in my room I haven't seen any of the purple tint I see people complain about with qd oled. Giving this 4 stars only because the screen would occasionally turn off in the middle of a game for a few seconds. Updated to the latest firmware, updated drivers and everything, and still had this issue. After doing some research online I found out this was related to the neo proximity sensor. After turning that off I've had no issues. Not a big deal though because you can just set the display to turn off after 5 minutes through windows anyway. Overall great monitor, you won't regret buying.
