It absorbs excess oil quickly and refreshes my roots without leaving the white residue that many dry shampoos do. The black tint blends well and gives my hair a cleaner, fuller look between washes. It does transfer a little to my fingertips when I massage it in, so washing my hands afterward is a good idea, but it rinses off easily. Overall, it's a great option for extending the time between washes and keeping black hair looking fresh.

However, the residue was heavy and if I put sunglasses on my head and then onto my face I had a lot of black residue transfer or if I touched my hair and then my face, it transferred, so that is something to be mindful of. The transfer one this product was terrible and it stained everything! It turned my hands and everything nearby black. I was constantly wiping black powder off my forehead all day and couldn’t touch my hair without turning my hands black.

I was definitely wrong. I could see it being a good product for someone with jet black hair, but it just looked like dirt in my hair. It also appeared black in my part line. I would not repurchase.

It has a subtle black tint so there's no white cast or ashiness at all, but it's not so dark that it darkens the scalp unnaturally.
