The BLACK+DECKER HNVC220BCZ01 Compact Lithium Hand Vacuum is lightweight, yet powerful, easy to charge and easy to clean. This cordless hand vacuum has it all. The HNVC220BCZ01 is powered by a lithium ion battery that holds a charge when its off its charger, offers more charge cycles and is lighter than NiCd batteries. This lightweight vacuum is only 1.4lbs and has 16 Air Watts of suction power. The translucent bagless dirt bowl makes it easy see the dirt level in the larger 13oz capacity bowl and is easy to empty; both filter and dirt bowl are washable. The included brush lets you use the vacuum for dusting + on upholstery, and the crevice tool gives you access to hard to reach areas. The included wall-mountable charger allows for 1 step charging and storage, with an LED light that lets you know when unit is fully charged. Q: Does the wall charger mount need to be nailed into the wall? I'm not allowed to do that where I live. Is there any other way?

  • A: It is not easy to charge if you don’t mount the charger on the wall. You can make it work on the floor but it’s tricky to make sure vacuum connects properly.

    AWFUL

    This was so horrendous. Every time I used it the part containing the debris would come off. So I’m vacuuming the car and suddenly it snaps off and spills everything out. The suction is not strong. It’s practically nonexistent. The charging thing is awkward, the charging wire is connected to the base and you are forced to either mount it in the wall or lay it flat, very awkward design. I am SO disappointed. I really was hoping I didn’t have to dish out more money for a quality one but I guess I’ll have to.

    I have never recd a delivery from any vendor with a packaging box so damaged. It had apparently burst on all sides of the box and retaped by the company that delivered it. Already checked the vac and there is no damage to it or the box it came in. Charging right now.

    not even a week purchased ans already very weak power. okay for the price I used this for residue kitty litter off my tile floor. 30 % out of 100 this vacuum picks up. the power charge is weak I have vacuum on all day and only works a good 10 mins.

    Absolute joke

    I bought this specifically to use for cleaning the inside of my car, and for easy cleaning for on living room couches. I wish I read the reviews before purchasing. To start with, you have to hold down the ON button the entire time which is absolutely stupid. Who creates a gadget expecting you to hold down the button as you're using it?!?! After so many minutes, my thumb started feeling sore and felt like it was gonna fall off! Second, you can't charge it without placing it on a charging unit that is specifically made to be mounted on a wall. What if I don't want to put holes in my wall just to charge this thing? I tried charging it just by placing it on the unit alone but it doesn't sit right and tilts to the side. I figured I can make it work. Well, regardless of the charging unit, the suction weakens after 5 minutes. Suction is HORRIBLE as it dies down after HOURS of charging. Third, the tip of the vacuum is not made for hard to reach areas. It is too wide and bulky to get into narrow spaces. It comes with ONE tiny brush attachment which is useless as it's the same size as the tip of vacuum so if you can't already get into the hard to reach areas with the vacuum head, the attachment does NOTHING for you.

    Underwhelming

    It’s ok for very small messes, but the flap doesn’t stay closed so sometimes a little bit of dust and dirt will fall back out of the vacuum before you can even get to the bin to empty it. Suction is subpar, especially with the extension out.

    1 yesr battery life

    I used this multiple times a day to clean up crumbs from my little one. It has a strong suction and works very well up to about a year then just stopped working. There was no time where it started going out just stopped working. I also didn’t like that I had to buy the wall mount separately.
