Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Lovely Fit

Fits my 5+ kindergartener’s body well. I would have loved for it to come properly packaged, though. It was stuffed in plastic, causing it to appear wrinkled. I love the color and fit. It’s blue and white checkered pattern. I initially thought it was light blue throughout, but this works as well. The fabric seems easy to wash and iron. I’ll probably rinse it, line dry it, and then iron it to remove the wrinkles.

Great shirt and style but I would recommend getting in store if possible for your child to try on. My son is tall and normally wears a medium in T-shirts and I had to get him an extra small in this shirt which fit perfectly.

Shirt looks good and fits true to size. The packing was terrible! I ordered three dress shirts and was sent stuffed in a clear bag. All wrinkled and thrown in like dirty laundry. If you want to give as a gift it may be iffy in the condition you will receive them. I would have returned the shirts, but I needed the shirts for their suits before Christmas. The delivery box was in good condition.
