Q: Do you need to empty and rinse the filter after every cup?

submitted by Alex - 1 month ago

    Worth it.

I titled my review “worth it” because even though you need to replace the filters and wash out the basin every time. Fresh ground coffee for every cup is worth it!

    Great machine

Makes great coffee. Can be adjusted from mild to bold and over ice even better. Multiple cup sizes also great. And even better when you only want one cup easy clean up.

    Jams in bean hopper/grinder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got it Friday and on Monday - after it has made 4 cups of coffee, it kept saying it needed more beans. It was full of beans. Had to clean out the beans and remove the grinder and clean that out before I could get a cup of coffee. I will be returning this. Too much work for a cup of coffee. Will get a different maker.

We're sorry to hear you experienced grinder issues so soon after receiving your Grind & Brew Coffee Maker. If the unit is indicating that more beans are needed despite the hopper being full, we recommend ensuring the beans are dry and not overly oily, checking that the grinder chute is clear of any buildup, and confirming the grinder assembly is properly seated, as these factors can sometimes affect bean detection and grinding performance. While we're disappointed to hear you'll be returning the product, we understand your desire for a more convenient brewing experience. If you would like additional troubleshooting assistance before returning the unit, please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference Ticket #8901031748. Thank you for sharing your feedback—it helps us improve future models and provide a better experience for our consumers.

    Great coffee, frequently jams up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cuisinart grinder coffee maker is great idea and makes a really good cup of coffee. However the mechanism is not very reliable. I have had mine for about 4 months. I typically ha one cup of coffee a day. The grinder frequently Jams. I also frequently got an error signified by the 20oz light flashing and no coffee.
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 8 days ago
We're glad to hear you're enjoying the coffee quality and convenience of the Grind & Brew Coffee Maker, but we're sorry to learn you've experienced frequent grinder jams and brewing interruptions after only a few months of use. To help improve performance, we recommend regularly cleaning the grinder chute and brew basket area, using dry whole beans rather than oily beans, and ensuring grounds are not accumulating in the grinding mechanism, as these factors can sometimes contribute to jams or error indicators. If the 20 oz. light continues to flash and brewing will not start, please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference Ticket #8901031637 so we can provide additional troubleshooting assistance. Thank you for sharing your feedback—it helps us identify opportunities to improve future models and enhance the overall consumer experience.

    Broke and had to return

We received the grind and brew as a gift and within a month it broke, spewing grinds all over itself. It's a slower machine, taking a long time to brew a cup and fully drain from the filter housing. If you select bold, it will grind enough beans to almost fill the filter completely, causing flooding, leaks and ultimately a mess of wet grinds all over.
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 8 days ago
We're sorry to hear your Grind & Brew Coffee Maker began experiencing issues so soon after receiving it as a gift. To help improve performance, we recommend cleaning the grinder chute, filter basket, and brew-through lid regularly, using the recommended amount of whole beans, and ensuring the filter basket is seated properly before brewing, as buildup or misalignment can sometimes contribute to slow brewing, overflowing, or excess grounds. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference Ticket #8901031630 so we can further troubleshoot and assist. Thank you for sharing your experience—feedback like yours helps us improve future models and create a better experience for our consumers.

I really like this machine. The options for size and brew strength are much more diverse than other machines. I do with the basket was a stainless steel rather than metal. I’ve really enjoyed the low waste vs. a Keurig product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There’s no accessories available. I only learned that the coffee machine is discontinued AFTER I purchased it. I have been trying to get a new filter basket for 7 months. It makes me think that I should have bought another brand!
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 15 days ago
We’re sorry to hear about the difficulty locating a replacement filter basket and understand how frustrating that experience can be. The DGB-30 model is not discontinued, and some replacement parts are available on Cuisinart.com—however, we recommend checking the website regularly, as certain items can be temporarily out of stock. Thank you for your feedback, as it helps us improve future product support and parts availability.

Very inconsistent!! The sizing of the oz. Is incorrect as well. It also steams all up the front of the machine when brewing…very disappointing for $250

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating inconsistent brew sizes and excess steam can be. For improved performance, we recommend ensuring the correct size selection is firmly set, using dry beans, and regularly cleaning the brew and grinder areas, as buildup can affect accuracy and steam flow. Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference ticket #8901025395 so we can further assist and review your unit.
