To ensure a proper fit and minimize gaps around the edges, we recommend using a standard full-size crib mattress that measures approximately 52 inches long by 27.5 inches wide and is no more than 6 inches thick. For safety, the mattress should fit snugly within the crib, with no more than two fingers' width of space between the mattress and the crib sides.

  • A: At Delta Children, we share that commitment and take every precaution to ensure our products meet the highest safety standards. The experience you have described is called leg entrapment and can occur in cribs of all types. Please be assured that all our products meet both Federal mandatory safety standards and voluntary JPMA safety guidelines. Specifically, the spacing between crib slats is regulated to no more than 2 3/8 inches to prevent head entrapment and ensure proper airflow.
