Q: Why won't water come the straw anymore after washing it?

submitted by TC - 6 months ago
  • A: The straw needs to be assembled properly to resolve this. The top and bottom portion of the straw needs to be assembled together first. Make sure the straw is pushed together fully to block the hole on the spout. (diagram in instructions). Pull through lid until straw snaps into place. Rubber collar is visible when straw is snapped in place. The straw is not in place if there is no rubber collar visible. The weighted straw allows for easy drinking at various angles, and the removable handles make it user-friendly for little hands. Waste of money

I gave it more than one try. It only worked upside down. It leaked the whole time and then the straw disappeared in the cup! It wouldn’t stay in place. Negative 5 stars

    Liquid does not come

Liquid doesn’t come at all. Never able to use this. It’s shouldn’t be this hard to baby cup.

    Helpful but leaks

Great for teaching babies how to drink from a straw. My baby picked up on it really quickly. BUT THE LEAKING… holy cow it leaks SO bad. We have the green and the orange and they both leak everywhere. I suggest purchasing to help baby learn and as soon as they do, switch cups!

    Nope

Loved everything about this until I went to wash it after one day of it having water inside. It smells so foul!! Had to wash this every few hours to avoid a bad smell inside. So so weird!!

    Straw issues

Straw is extremely difficult for ten month old, liquid doesn’t come up and when it does, cup leaks. Ended up returning it.

    Leaks.

Bought two. One of the cups leaks. The liquid literally comes up the straw without being sucked on. The other cup is fine, but how inconvenient to order a bunch and sift through the ones that don't. Just going to try a different brand entirely. These could be so good.

Not leak proof and hard to wash

Not baby proof..thankfully we only put water in it cause it leaks so much. Definitely not spill resistant or leak proof as advertised. It’s also really difficult to wash the straw mechanism.

    Awful.

This cup leaks everywhere and the shape of the straw makes it nearly impossible for my baby to suck through. Horrible design. Also, why do Dr. Browns products always have 50 pieces that are hard to clean? Horrible.

This cup is strong! It’s handled countless drops and throws from a high chair onto a tile floor and it still looks brand new. This is my baby’s first sippy/straw cup and she took right to it pretty easily. I like that the straw is all one piece for really easy cleaning, and IT DOESNT SPILL!!!

    Don't buy

There’s a small hole on top that does leak badly. Also, the straw is very hard to actually get liquid through. It’s mostly air!

    Leakage

Continuing to leak through the straw even when cap was closed. Tried to use for several weeks but milk would always pool at the bottom of the cup and continue to leak out.

    Horrible Cup

I literally never do this but out of pure frustration I felt compelled to leave a review. These cups leak more than any cup I have ever seen. Liquid literally travels up the straw and pours out of the cup profusely. You dont even have to tip the cup. I had to throw away an entire diaper bag because of the mess it causes attempting to prep travel cups.
