HOW TO USE:
STEP 1: REFRESH YOUR DISC
If it’s your first time using your Flex Reusable Disc, give it a quick wash with warm water and a mild soap or cleanser. To completely sanitize your disc in between periods, boil it for 10 minutes on the stove (do not allow your disc to come in contact with the sides or bottom of the pot).

STEP 2: GET READY TO INSERT
Take a breath and relax! Get into a comfortable position—you can try sitting on the toilet, squatting with your legs open, or standing with one leg up.

STEP 3: INSERT THE DISC
Insert the pinched disc (notch side first) down and back towards your tailbone as far back as it will comfortably go. Then, tuck the front rim of the disc up behind your pubic bone.

STEP 4: 12-HOUR WEAR
Experience freedom. Do everything you love to do when you're not on your period—swim, sleep, squat, study, or summit. Heavy flow? No problem. Flex Discs can self-empty when you pee. This means you'll never have to walk around with a full disc all day. After you pee or poo, use a clean finger to simply tuck the disc back into place and you're set for the remainder of your 12-hour wear.

*Please follow the full Instructions for Use within the box prior to use.
**To clean your Flex Reusable Disc, simply empty your disc, rinse with cool water (helps prevent staining), apply a mild soap or cleanser, lather, and rinse again with warm water. At the end of your cycle, sanitize by boiling (see instructions) and store it in its carrying pouch.

Q: Does the disc turn discolored and gross after uses? I’m skeptical that it’s clear and wish they had black.

submitted by KO - 1 year ago
  • A: Try soaking it in a jar or dish with hydrogen peroxide and any stains usually come right off. That's my experience with any sort of reusable disc or cup I've used over the last 6 or so years. Cheers!

submitted byLiz - 8 months ago
  • A: Hi KO, thanks for your question! The Flex Reusable Disc has no added colorants, so it may show stains on the outside of the disc. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about

Q: If you do squats or exercise like walking squats in those positions will the disc leak (if it comes in a self emptying position) ? As it will take a bend like position like while using toilet?

submitted by Priankita - 13 days ago
  • A: Hi there - great question! When your Flex Disc is inserted properly, it shouldn't shift or leak. Self-emptying happens when you bear down gently while seated on the toilet. The act of bearing down is what pops the front edge of the disc out from behind the pubic bone, allowing some of the contents to empty into the toilet. Simply squatting or bending will not dislodge a properly positioned disc. We have a ton of athletes, including powerlifters and even olympians, who use our products with great success! We recommend doing Kegels a few times throughout the day, especially when sitting for long hours or working out, to help keep the disc securely in place. Also, if you have an especially heavy flow, emptying your disc more frequently will help prevent the disc from overfilling and dislodging. If you have any other questions you can always reach out to us direclty at help@flexfits.com or text us at 800-931-0882

Q: I have will remove my disc mid-day to fully empty it (v. heavy flow) & replace it. I find it leaks afterwards. Why and how is the reusable disc any different than the disposable in this manner?

submitted by Louise - 20 days ago
  • A: Hi Louise - thanks for reaching out with your questions! Both the reusable and the disposable discs have a self-emptying feature, which means that you do not need to fully remove the disc to empty it, even on your heavy flow days! To use the self-emptying feature you will want to gently bear down when you are using the restroom. This will pop the front edge of the disc out from behind the pubic bone, allowing some of the contents to empty into the toilet. When you are finished, use a clean finger to tuck the disc back up behind the pubic bone. Some folks also find that doing a kegel after self-emptying works - but with both reusable and disposable discs you want to make sure it is back behind the pubic bone or you might experience leaking afterwards. Both discs function in the same way - the only difference is the reusable offers a slightly higher capacity of 6 super tampons instead of the disposable disc capacity of 5 super tampons. Different folks prefer one product over the other for various comfort and lifestyle choices, but the size, shape, and key features are all the same. If you have any other questions, or need any help with troubleshooting, you can always reach out to us directly at help@flexfits.com!

GAME CHANGER once you get the hang of it!

this thing is SUCH a game changer once you get the hang of it!! i won’t lie, it is definitely a little bit intimidating and kind of a learning curve regarding insertion and removal when you first first see it, BUT i got the hang of it really quickly. what worked for me was just reading the little instruction booklet that came with it, following it exactly, and relaxing my body. once you get it, you get it and let me tell you it works. it is so convenient, feels way more clean and comfortable than pads and tampons, and it is true that you can do the deed with it… (except for like 2 positions LOLLL maybe tmi but i’m just being 100% real for us girls) plus, you’re saving the environment. it works very very well all things considered and i would definitely recommend giving it a try! :)

Learn from my mistake

Learn from my mistake, never, ever, ever, flush while holding your flex disc 😭😭😭 I had my disc sitting on a side table on top of a piece of toilet paper, I flushed, stood and picked it up to toss the toilet paper and rinse the disc and next thing I know the slippery thing had leaped from my hands and straight down the flushing commode!!! I cried. I stood yelling No! No! No! To my toilet as if my pleads would bring forth my beloved disc. It has been 24 hours and I have been mourning my loss every time I go to the bathroom and am abruptly reminded. The ptsd is real. I subsequently flushed the toilet like twenty times and ran water trying to make sure it didn’t clog any drains in my new house 😭 so far so good. Word to the wise, hang on to your precious little slippery disc because you will never forgive yourself if it goes down the toilet drain. Sincerely,A sad girl on her period

Almost perfect

Honest review as I have been using this product for about a year now. I love the disc because it is safer for my body than tampons. I am TTC, so I have been very conscious of what is going into my body. I also love that the cleaning foam scores a 96/100 on the Yuka app! However, I have found a few cons. First, since I have been using the reusable disc for a while, it has started to stain. I wish that it came in black like Flex’s menstrual cup so it wouldn’t stain. I know that it is clean, just looks nasty with the stains. Secondly, when I take it out (especially on the first and second day of my period) I cramp SO bad. Not sure why but that part sucks. Third, I usually have to wear a pad along with the disc to prevent any leakage. This may be user error with the disc not being in the correct position; it can be difficult to get it in the correct position. I also haven’t figured out the proper way to remove and empty it without it being messy. I typically get the contents of the disc all over my hands when removing and emptying it. Overall, I really like this product. I do think they could make some improvements, but some of my issues may just be user error. Hope this helps!

Messy removal, recommend for light flows

If you've used a cup in any form, it's easy to insert. I have heavier flows and be ready for that to SPILL everywhere when you pull it out. Its as if it just blocks the blood from seeping through, and doesn't actually hold it in the silicon. It made a mess and no, I didnt wait 12hrs. I waited 3hrs. I will be returning it, not the used one since it comes with 3.

SO thankful for this product

I went from only using pads, never used a tampon, cup or anything before so I was a little unsure of how the flex disc would work for me but I’m literally speechless. This makes having a period 100x better. I feel cleaner, LESS CRAMPS!!, it self empties, and makes life so much easier on your period. So incredibly thankful for this product. The time it took getting used to it was nothing compared to how much better things are on my period. Thank God!!

I don’t dread my period

I’m 40 and have had a period since I was 12. Almost a lifetime of pads, tampons and period cups that were uncomfortable, leaky and sometimes soggy (yuck!). The Flex disc literally changed my life and I’ll never go back. It’s comfortable, easy to insert and leaves me feeling dry and confident. A total game changer that I tell everyone about.

This is AMAZING

I highly recommend giving the Flex Disc a try—you won’t be disappointed! It has helped me feel more confident and comfortable throughout the day, and I no longer need to buy tampons. One of my favorite features is that period sex is possible while wearing it. Unlike some other discs, tampons, and menstrual products I’ve tried, this disc has not interfered with my IUD strings. It is by far the most comfortable and flexible menstrual disc I’ve ever used, and I don’t plan on switching to anything else. It’s also affordable, easy to use in almost any situation, and I love that it can automatically empty itself while using the restroom. That’s a huge bonus and makes managing my period even more convenient!

Never Buying Pads Again- One year review

Okay let me TELL YOU! I used to be terrified of tampons- tried them and never liked the way they felt/fit. I always wore pads but it is expensive and I don't necessarily like that they are single use too. I decided to take the leap and try out this disc and I am obsessed. Although it seems like when you put it in that it sits too far back, once you get it in the right spot (which only took me about 3 tries my first time ever) it feels like there is nothing even there. I love that I can clean it, and although messy to take out, I just do it in the shower and I don't have to worry about any mess. I recommend this disc to everyone I know because I will never go back to anything else!

May never go back to tampons

Wow this thing is amazing 3 days no leaks can wear for hoursssss and it will hold back everything. Inserting has been so easy for me I just apply a little lube to the tip. I change it 2-3 times a day one before a morning shower , after a workout and before bed but I notice I could do it just twice and be fine. Comfortable wear during the “do” wouldn’t recommend on full period unless you empty it completely but maybe during the times you’re spotting. Partner could not feel it at all.

I’ll never use anything else!

This literally changed my life! It makes being on my period and continuing my regular activities as easy as possible, sometimes I even forget I’m on my period. Completely solves the issue of peeing with a tampon in (ifykyk), I’ve even used it camping before with no issues! Seriously I’ve convinced all of my girlfriends to switch and now they can’t go back either!! Make the switch! Plus the cleanser, wipes, and instructions make this the best transition ever!

Grateful for flex!!!

I've used these since they came out. I'm not going to lie but it was a tough transition for me. I couldn't get it in right, I'd think I had it in right and i would get blood all over my clothes BUT I stuck it out and I'm soooooo grateful that I did. Anything new is going to be sorta different.... it only took me about 2 or 3 periods before I got the hang of it now I don't use anything except my flex !!! I have found that since usi mg the flex cup I don't bleed for as long. Like normally my periods were 4-6 days HEAVY HEAVY and then I would slow down and spend another 3-4 with a regular flow and then a day or 2 of spotting. It was truly horrible. Since I've been flexing ;) my periods are 4-5 days altogether. And then I spot for a day or 2. I'm so grateful for this product. My advice for anyone struggling is DONT GIVE UP. Find ur groove. It gets better. That first time that u fill ur cup full and u go and empty it without having to touch anything and not get any blood in ur panty liner is the absolute most satisfying feeling in the world. It was for me anyways!!! Alright. I just wanted to say that. I don't ever write reviews so forgive me if it's all jumbled up and not helpful.

Life changing

This has been life changing. I actually forgot that I was on my period for a few hours at a time. No wet diaper feeling. You don’t feel anything. As someone who has very, very heavy periods (yes I need to try harder to get it addressed but anywho) this has been a God send. I don’t need to to to the bathroom every hour and spend a lot of money on pads and tampons! Thank you for designing this. Finally not mad once a month about being a woman. I feel like a modern woman with this! Also I found it easier if anything than a tampon. I thought it would be tricky or awkward at first but I read the instructions and got it right away. Thank you modern science and flex team!

Feels comfortble. But Messy removal.

It’s easy to put in and take out for me, really fast. But when I remove it to empty there is a huge mess and big “splashdown” of the content’s, really inconvenient for heavy flow days. I don’t know what I am doing wrong
1 reply from The Flex Company team - 2 months ago
Hi there - thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback! On your heavier flow days, we recommend using the self-emptying feature a bit more frequently to help empty the contents of your disc throughout the day. Also, if messy removal is still an issue, you can always remove your disc in the shower at the end of your day. If you'd like some more tips and tricks for heavy flow, feel free to reach out anytime to help@flexfits.com or text us at 800-931-0882.

I’ve been using the disposable discs for a while now and have grown to love them. Since using them I’ve noticed that a good amount of the normal pain I’d feel from cramps have gone down and the length of my periods have gotten a bit shorter. So since I’ve grown to love the disposable ones, I thought I’d try my hand a the reusable one finally. It does feel comfortable once inserted, but it is sometimes a bit difficult to keep straight while putting it in due to the flimsiness. I’ve also noticed that I have less leaks with this one in comparison to the disposable ones since the rim is a bit thicker, which I have found nice, but at the same time I feel that the disc now has a harder time emptying itself when I use the bathroom. The only main thing I wish was different or could be fixed is if the rim had some sort of notch to make it easier to hook onto when trying to remove the disc. This part I have found to be the most difficult in my personal opinion.
