Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Basically a pajama loungewear top

I would only buy this for loungewear. It’s too short even when sizing up. It rides up when you lift your arms in the air as well. It looks cute with some of the sweatshorts which are also too short to wear outside of the house.

Sizing Made for Toddlers!

This is a really cute t-shirt but the problem is the sizing. It almost seems like the sizing is meant for different sizes of toddlers instead of grown children. On my daughter, who is a very small 10 year old, the XL is still a crop top. The XL looks it it would fit a 5 or 6 year old girl more appropriately.

Cropped?

The shirt is very cute! The material is soft and the bow looks very chic. We had to return due to it being very short, and then possibly shrinking even more. Not sure it’s supposed to be cropped? Even going up in sizes to fix the shortness issue it would then be too wide. Unfortunately it was a no go for us.

This shirt is cute but very tight and short. Material is also thin which is even more problematic with sizing that runs small. Not good for developing tweens. Agree with another review that this is a crop top. Overall the shirt sizing in this collection runs small and short. My daughter usually wears an XL and I bought the XXL which is more like a L at best.

This shirt looks so good irl! I didn’t buy online but when we saw it in person, we had to get it! The lace appliqué is perfection. It runs small so we sized up a couple of sizes. Our 9 year old is wearing the XXL (she normally wears a 10-12)

It’s cute but omg runs so so so small. This is my 6 year old, who normally wears a size small, in an XL! If it’s supposed to be fitted I would expect to see it more fitted on the model in the listing. To me, the XL looks on my daughter how it fits on the model.
