Hamilton Beach 6qt Portable Slow Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a perfect size for our family. It holds the large corned beef brisket and cabbage, with potatoes and carrots easily. I found it very easy to use, with easily read dials and markings. It was also very easy to clean, both the ceramic and the aluminum outside. Even the lid was easy to clean. We will be making more dinners in the slow cooker from Hamilton Beach!

I made a huge pot of chili that was enough for 8 people with no hassle and it blended great while cooking, especially since it wasn’t overstuffed due to the large amount of room. It coked with no burning at the top edges which was great and made clean up a breeze.

Otherwise the temp gets to 199°F on low, like what I experienced with a smaller serving of pot roast and potatoes. This pot works best for meals that require more liquid in the recipe.

The kids luv having soup when it's chilly out, so it's been fantastic for helping on those busy days. I haven't needed to transport it, but the rubber nad for latching the lid is nice. It was a little confusing how to latch it, but I figured it out. I like that this size is perfect for making large batches of soups. I did use it for a roast, but it felt too big for that. It works great for tater tot casserole if you don't have time to let it bake. I didn't have to use the high setting. It warmed up really quickly and the sides got a little warmer than any of the other slow cookers we have had. I would cook on low for a several hours then switch to warm. It's the perfect fit for a busy family of 4 or more. It's simple to use with 3 different temperature settings. If you need to transport it, it comes with a lid latch.

I like the style of it, it compliments the other appliances in my kitchen. I really like the handle that came aith it, making it easy to take dishes on the go. The only thing i dont like about it is that it doesnt have any kind of timer or automatic warming feature. It performed well and cooked food thoroughly and was a breeze to clean after. Overall ot is a great product.

This Crock-Pot is easy to use settings are visible on the front great handles see through glass lid and there is a way to secure the Lid which I enjoy very much. Overall this is a perfect thing for any simple dinners maybe complicated dinners for those busy days. But also it's perfect for family functions to!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dinner time isnt a issue anymore! I love that you can put all your ingredients in the crock pot turn it on and let it do the cooking! The first thing i made was a roast and it turned out so moist and tender! The crock pot was easy to set up and use. There are different cooking levels so you can get a good dinner when you are ready to eat later in the day. The clean up was easy to. I will be using this alot because it makes getting dinner ready so much easier and saves me so much time not having to stand around watching food cook.

It is just a bit larger than the 5 quart I am used to - which is great as I never could fit all of the vegetables I wanted with a roast or whole chicken in my old cooker. The only draw back for me, is that I have an insulated carrier for my 5-quart pot, and of course this one is just a bit too big. Love the security of locking down the lid during transport.

And for my family of 4 it holds enough food and even some for leftovers the next day. Very easy to use has low and high settings. And a keep warm setting which is great! I used that for a buffalo chicken dip I made and it kept the dip at nice warm temp. It has the band for securing the lid when you want to transport a dish which is nice. I have been saving crock pot recipes I have found online and can't wait to try them in this cooker.

I prepared Hamilton Beach's Slow Cooker Cereal Party Mix for a football game where friends were coming to my house to watch. This recipe makes a large amount of party mix. The slow cooker is a large and easily handled the amount of party mix. The slow cooker has 3 settings keep warm, low and high. I like the settings because they are simple but work perfectly. The removable removeable stoneware crock is easy to clean. I recommend this crock highly if you are looking for an excellent, dependable crock pot.

I am able to fit and cook many meals because of the large 6 quart capacity. The handles are very durable making it very easy to lift. The lid latch strap is very easy to put on and it securely holds the lid on when I am moving the slow cooker. The knob on the front for the temperature settings is very easy to move and feels very secure. The lid is very light and easy to take off when I need to remove it. I love the fact that I can cook many different dishes in the slow cooker. This cooks my food perfectly making great tasting meals. It is very easy to remove and clean the stoneware and lid and I love the fact that they are dishwasher safe. I love the size because it easily fits on my counter space. The chrome on the outside makes it look very modern and is very eye-catching. This really helps to make my dinner, making very simplified and the cleanup very easy.

Temperature adjustments are very appealing. Glass lid so you can see your food without taking the lid off. It cooks food to tender perfection and allows me to create delicious meals while having a busy schedule.
