HOM Smart Door Lock - Keyless Entry, App Control, Fingerprint Door Lock, Digital Door Lock with Keypad for Enhanced Security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a HOM employee. I’ve had this installed for about two months. The fingerprint unlock is responsive, and the app controls have been consistent with no connection issues. The keypad is also a good backup. Overall it feels reliable and secure.

Would have been 5 stars but when I first got this I could use the app anonymously. They made it where you have to put your address and name on file to unlock the door from your phone.

I've called your support team and they can't help me with this. Not the first time I've had trouble with the lock I bought from you.

wonderful and heavy duty lock that is perfect for our back door. it can allow us to get in without a physical key but still have peace of mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really loving this door lock! The sleek design is awesome and it looks really modern. I have tried it on an inside door just to test it out since it is a newer product. I had to reset it a few times to get it going but it has been great. I love that it stores multiple finger prints and I can’t express again how nice it looks!

This item is nice looking and looks to be of good build , I mainly am using this on an office door. Which is inside a building so will not be able to give a review how it handles being outside. Was easy to setup. Only thing I didn’t like was it didn’t have a rechargeable battery in it. It uses 4 AAA. It has a type C plug , but it was on the outside handle which would make this less likely to hold up outside. Because water would get inside the plug. Ps. For engineering stand point pulling a cable through the handle is not good as I was plugging it in the second time I bent one of the little pins. It took a bit to straighten it back out. This is also happened because I had to change the batteries. I really don’t know what else to say this is a simple door handle to install and setup. Hope this helps.

Packaged really nicely, and arrived fast. On the first look, the designed very nice! The outside handle of the lock is made really good. It feels like it is of good quality, but the inside handle is a bit different. The plastic battery cover is very flimsy, the screw used to secure the cover is a wrong thread screw and it doesn't screw in all the way. Plastic cover flexes. There is also a button on the inside handle that feels odd. Great attention to detail on the outside, inside not so much. Functionality - works as it should, for now, I will do a detailed test of the app soon. Initially, works, with no major glitches. The app was not responsive a few times, so I had to restart it. The app has some automation options, that part I will test soon and probably come back to this review for add-on. Is it reliable? I think it is for now until I discover something along the way. I am testing this lock on one of my inside doors since I am not sure about security. Just an idea, if you get the plastic battery cover CAD file available, people could 3D Print their own covers, as a customization part.
