    Great laptop!

Love this laptop it's proving to be perfect for my studies. It's fast, the screen is lovely to look at and keyboard is great to type with! Battery life is decent! I am unsure if I would have paid full price for this though.

    Thumbs down on this one

Worse mistake I have ever made. It slow, it's always hanging up. I clean this I clean that, nothing works. Someone must have beat me with a stupid stick. I have a Spectre 360, probably the best laptop I have ever had. I'm keeping the 360 and the OmniBook is going up for sale. I'm speaking of my personal experience only. It's probably a good laptop, I just happen to get a lemon.

Excellent Premium Laptop with Great Performance — but Some Cost-Cutting in RAM, Ports & Speakers

I recently purchased this HP laptop and overall my experience has been very good. The performance is excellent and it truly feels like a premium machine in terms of speed, stability, and day-to-day productivity. The processor performance, smooth multitasking, and overall build quality are impressive, and I’m genuinely satisfied with how fast and reliable it is. However, at this premium price point, I feel HP has done some noticeable cost-cutting in a few key areas, which prevents it from being a perfect flagship-level product. ✅ What I Loved: Excellent overall performance and processing power Smooth multitasking and premium feel in daily usage Reliable and fast system response Great for office work, heavy multitasking, and productivity ⚠️ Areas where HP should improve (Cost Cutting Concerns): 1) RAM Speed / Quality This laptop comes with 32GB LPDDR5-5200 MT/s onboard RAM, which is good in capacity, but at this price range, I expected LPDDR5X with higher transfer rates. Since the RAM is onboard (non-upgradable), the RAM speed/quality should have been more premium. Using LPDDR5-5200 at this price feels like cost-cutting and is not ideal for a premium laptop. 2) Port Selection (Major Concern) The laptop has: 1 Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps) USB-C 1 USB-C (10Gbps) In this premium segment, HP should provide at least 2 full-feature Thunderbolt 4 ports. Giving one full Thunderbolt 4 port and one normal 10Gbps USB-C port feels like a downgrade and cost saving. Even though the USB-C supports PD 3.1 and DisplayPort, it still doesn’t match Thunderbolt-level capability. 3) Type-A USB Ports It includes: 1 USB Type-A 10Gbps 1 USB Type-A 5Gbps At this price point, both Type-A ports should be 10Gbps. Providing one 5Gbps port again feels like unnecessary cost-cutting in a premium product. 4) Speaker Quality The speakers are honestly disappointing. Sound quality feels average, almost like a normal smartphone-level loudness and depth. In a premium laptop, speakers should be much better to match the overall flagship experience. In terms of audio output, the speaker system does not justify the price.

Great laptop but keyboard problem spoiled the experience.

All things were good on my Omnibook 7 except that the ‘n’key did not engage without multiple presses. Machine submitted for warranty repair and found the part not available- hence have been waiting about a month to be able to use my brand new laptop. Great machine but would like to be able to use it.

    Can't get into the laptop

Unfortunately, I can't give a rating for the laptop as I am unable to sign into it. When I turn it on I am asked to verify that the mail address shown is mine but it is one that is nothing to do with me. It says use your password instead but when I enter my microsoft password it tells me that this doesn't match the mail address. Of course it doesn't as it's not my address. I have asked for help on the Microsoft forum and someone replied but their suggestion didn't help. Do you have any ideas re how I can actually get into the laptop. It's very frustrating.

The HP OmniBook 7 delivers a sleek, well-balanced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP OmniBook 7 is a rather impressive bit of kit, blending solid build quality with genuinely useful AI-driven features. At 14 inches, it strikes an excellent balance between portability and productivity, making it an ideal choice for students, professionals, or anyone who simply wants a dependable everyday machine without lugging around a brick. Powered by the Intel® Core™ Ultra 5, the laptop handles multitasking with ease. Paired with 16GB of RAM, it remains perfectly snappy even with several tabs, apps, and background tasks ticking along. The inclusion of 512GB SSD storage offers ample room for documents, media, and software, while keeping boot times refreshingly quick. The real talking point, however, is the built-in AI functionality. It’s not just gimmicky flair; on-device AI accelerates tasks like noise cancellation, intelligent optimisation, and creative workloads without hammering the battery. Speaking of which, battery life is comfortably all-day for light to moderate use, though more demanding tasks will naturally trim it down a bit. The display is crisp with good brightness and colour reproduction, making it pleasant for both work and light entertainment. The keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, and the laptop feels reassuringly premium despite being lightweight. If one were to nit-pick, the speakers are perfectly serviceable but hardly spectacular, and power users may find themselves wishing for a slightly beefier processor option. Still, for the average user—and even many power users—this will be more than sufficient. Overall, the HP OmniBook 7 is a smart, well-balanced, modern laptop offering superb everyday performance with a tasteful dash of next-gen AI. A very strong choice in its bracket.

HP OmniBook 7 (14" AI): Performance and Polish in

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP OmniBook 7 in the 14-inch configuration is the epitome of the modern ultraportable. Its perfect size is designed for maximum mobility, built with a premium, lightweight metal chassis that is easy to carry while still feeling incredibly durable. For storage, the 512GB NVMe SSD is blazing fast and perfectly complemented by 16GB of RAM. This combination delivers quick boot times and fluid performance, easily managing heavy multitasking and leveraging the Core Ultra 5's AI features effortlessly. Connectivity is a major strength, as the ports selection is comprehensive. It features the versatility of Thunderbolt 4 (perfect for charging, display, and high-speed data) alongside legacy connections like standard USB-A and HDMI 2.1 output. You can push this machine, but the cooling system is highly efficient, allowing the OmniBook 7 to remain exceptionally cool and quiet even during heavier workloads. Finally, the input experience is superb: the keyboard offers a comfortable, tactile feel, and the large, precise glass trackpad tracks flawlessly, cementing the polished, ready-to-work nature of this machine.

    Sleek

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the laptop! From the moment I opened the box I could feel it was great. The design looks long lasting and sleek, just beautiful. The keyboard feels nice too. Screen quality is great. Only thing is I find the volume not to be as high as I would like but the quality of sound is great. I like using face recognition to unlock the laptop. and the camera quality is great especially for conference calls. Using copilot has been great and I love the AI functions

    Excellent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP OmniBook 7 is a solid all-around laptop that focuses on portability, modern performance, and everyday ease of use. It has a clean, premium aluminum build that feels sturdy without being heavy, making it a good choice for work, school, or travel. Performance on the OmniBook 7 is smooth thanks to the newer Intel Core Ultra processors. Apps open quickly, multitasking feels snappy, and the built-in NPU gives a boost to AI-related tasks like writing assistance, image editing, and background productivity features. It’s not a gaming machine, but it handles creative work and general use very well. The display is one of the highlights—crisp, bright, and easy on the eyes. Models with higher-resolution or OLED panels look especially good for streaming or creative work. The keyboard is comfortable for longer sessions, and the trackpad is large and accurate. Battery life is above average, lasting most of the day with mixed use, and fast charging helps when you’re in a rush. Ports are practical too, with a mix of USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI so you don’t always need adapters. Overall, the HP OmniBook 7 is a dependable laptop with a modern feel. It’s ideal for someone who wants a lightweight, premium device that’s fast, reliable, and ready for everyday work—plus a bit of future-proofing thanks to its AI features.

Excellent Display, quiet, smooth backlit keyboard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since acquiring the HP OmniBook 7 14-inch AI Laptop, I have been thoroughly impressed by its user experience. The display is exceptional, boasting vibrant clarity and minimal glare. The backlit keyboard is smooth, quiet, and conducive to typing. The large trackpad is highly responsive. The clamshell design, while not as thin as my MacBook Air, is remarkably close, maintaining its slim and lightweight profile. The laptop weighs approximately 1.5 kilograms making it very easily portable. The laptop’s performance is seamless, enabling me to multitask with various applications and windows simultaneously due to its 16GB of memory. It features a substantial 512GB SSD storage drive, which operates exceptionally quietly. The laptop is equipped with AI capabilities, including video calls and Wi-Fi 7 for rapid internet connectivity. Additionally, it offers an extended battery life. The laptop’s connectivity options include two USB-C ports (one for charging), two USB-A ports, one HDMI port, and a headphone jack. It also supports the synchronisation of iPhone or Android smartphones for making calls and receiving notifications. The laptop comes bundled with a complimentary PC gaming pass that provides access to games and discounts. It also features a pin or Face ID unlock mechanism. During setup, the original power pack is required to turn on the laptop. Subsequently, entering the Wi-Fi password is necessary for updates which takes approximately 30 minutes before use. Finally, it is required to sign in or create a Microsoft account. Overall, this laptop presents an exceptional value proposition for professional, gamer, or casual users.
