I cannot comment on how well it flys because it's winter where I am and when it has been windy it's also been very cold. But the kite is made out of a light strong plastic weave material, kind of like a very, very, very light tarp, and not that cheap plastic streamer like material. It was very easy to assemble. The color is very vivid. The design is well done on the kite and is not off center like some other cheap kites I have gotten in the past. I do wish the design was not on the top, but the bottom so when the kite was flying you'd see it better and brighter. Comes with a simple hand wind/unwind spool of string that does not lock off that I saw, so be careful with that. I did get it up in the air a little bit by running up and down my street like a fool trying to fly a kite on a warmish day without wind. It went up fairly easily, but obviously came straight down when I got tired of running and stopped. I have no doubt in the spring this will be easy to get up into the air. My daughter loves the cute butterfly design and we are looking forward to getting it out.

This kite is exactly as I expected, colorful and cute and perfect for a windy day at the beach.The only caveat, it requires an adult to assemble because slipping the small rods into the little pockets is a bit tricky. Once put together, however, it feels very sturdy and ready to fly and would be great for adults or kids both. Fun!

Product was ordered 19 Jan 2025, delivered 24 Jan 2025, with no damage. This eye-catching rainbow-colored butterfly is becoming one of my favorites. It is well made of good materials. It is easy to assemble and fly. This butterfly will be a hit with the children. Under 7 years old, children should be closely supervised. A must have for outdoor fun. I recommend it to you.

This is a very cute kite! It packs up into a small pouch that can easily be carried in a backpack. I didn't encounter any issues with assembling it either, though you will likely have to help your child put it together.

Comes in a reusable sleeve for storage. Velcro open/close. Kite seems like a sturdy lightweight material. Doesn't seem like it would rip or anything. It was nice kite weather when I ordered it but now it's not very windy to try. So I'll update my review if it doesn't hold up or has issues. Otherwise it worked great and I would recommend!

The frame is plastic, not wood. High winds might destroy the frame so be cautious about that. It comes with the usual string and handle, manual style with one exception, the clip on the end of the string is metal. So the string to kite connection should be good.The frame of the kite is one long spine and an X of frame keeping the wings extended. So it should be flexible and handle average wind just fine, just don't expect it to deal with extremes.The frame tips on the top area are connected to the edge of the kite. Those rods have extensions that connect and meet at the middle. The bottom rods also have extensions that meet in the middle and you have to slide the bottom ones into pockets near the bottom. The middle connection point for all four of those rods, slides up and down the spine of the kite, which is another plastic rod that is permanently attached to the kite.The tails are quite long, so you should not have trouble keeping the kite under control.

This is a very nice kite for kids! One of the things I really like about it is that it has fiberglass poles rather than plastic ones. The plastic poles tend to break or kink which makes the kite useless. These poles feel very sturdy. Also, the kite is made out of polyester rather than a plastic sheet so it is a lot more durable. The corners where the poles insert are also extra thick so it is a lot harder for the poles to break through after repeated nose dives into the ground.As soon as it stops raining for a bit, I will get to fly it with my kiddo. I'm sure she will have a blast with it.

Hours of Fun
This kite is so much fun. It is easy to put together and is very colorful. My daughter, who loves butterflies, has flown this for several hours at this point and has enjoyed every moment. It takes a lit bit more wind than some other kites but thankfully we live in an area that is often times very windy.

I got this for my niece who has never flown a kite before. This is a very well made product. The colors are vibrant, and it was easy to put together. Bright, cheerful and lightweight. I bought an extra roll of string - our kids went to the beach all the time and kites always seem to need extra string. Comes with a bag, Velcro closure, which makes storing easy.
