Q: What kind of arrhythmias does this device show? Does it identify the different types like tachycardia and a fib?

submitted by Berry - 2 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your question. KardiaMobile FDA Cleared Personal EKG can detect AFib, Bradycardia and Tachycardia with more determinations available with the KardiaCare membership.

Q: Does this give you blood pressure readings?

submitted by CBird - 4 years ago
  • A: KardiaMobile does not take blood pressure recordings. But systolic and diastolic blood pressure results can be manually entered into the Kardia app in order to track your Blood Pressure. You can also transfer Blood Pressure recordings via bluetooth to the Kardia app if you have a compatible Omron Blood Pressure cuff.

The Kardia 6L Model has more features than the 1L.

I purchased the KardiaMobile 1L, a couple weeks ago. I have had various heart arrhythmia issue for close to 30 years. I've been using the KardiaMobile, every time I've had an episode, since I purchased it. After doing some research, I found that my main issue is PVCs. This is the one drawback to the KardiaMobile 1L. It does not state that there are PVCs or a few other types of arrhythmias. It just states, "Unclassified". At least I will have a record of my arrhythmias, when I see the Cardiologist. I strongly suggest that you buy the 6L model rather than the 1L. The 6L can Identify many more irregularities. It also uses Blue Tooth, to connect to your phone. Whereas, the 1L uses high-pitched sound, transmitted to your phones microphone. I've never had an issue with the signal strength. However, the phone has to be very close to the phone. You also have to be where it is pretty quiet. The TV, Radio, Computer, & anything else that makes noise must be turned off. Also, absolutely talking while it is taking the EKG. With the 6L, you won't have to be concerned about any of that, because it uses the Bliue Tooth.

Hard to get a good trace

I like the unit's size and when it works it is great. However, I typically have problems getting a good or great trace, and I cannot do so when I try to use it as instructed. If I place the unit flat on a desk and touch two fingers per hand as instructed, the trace rarely completes. I experimented with positioning a bit and found that when I hold the unit slightly vertically and squeeze it between my thumbs (underneath) and fingers on each hand, it works most of the time.

    Always "normal", LOL. Wasted money

Always shows "normal pulse", no matter how much the heart skips. Tried it many times in different conditions. It is back in the box never to be taken out again.

    Good device - TERRIBLE APP

The device is solid but the app is terrible. Just keep it simple, but they have to bloat it with ads for upgraded devices or upgraded service. Once is ok, but to continue to clutter the screen is terrible. Also, limiting the BP upload via Bluetooth to one device brand versus accepting data via Bluetooth period. Your device looks solid but the app is at a kindergarten level. People get this for a medical reason and you have clickbait clutter all over. That is just preying on people who are in need. Clean it up!

Device is great, app and ads not

While the information on the website is complete the claim at the top that it can do more than detect aFib is only true with the subscription. That detail is buried lower. It still does what I really need and is easier to use than my watch. I do not like software that serves as a means of advertising other services to me. That I thought that some of the subscription functionality was already included in my purchase just adds to that irritation. It is MUCH easier to use than my smart watch.

    Disappointed

Purrchased one 7 years ago for myself. Recently a friend was diagnosed with Afib so i bought one for her as a gift. Very disappointed when i found out you have to buy a subscription to use it. I never had to with mine.

    Need compatible phone

The product itself is fine however finding an android phone that is compatible at a reasonable price has not been easy...As a senior citizen on a fixed income, it is frustrating to have to replace the cell phone I currently have so I can use the Kardia Mobile...still looking for a phone so right now the device is still sitting unused in the box.
