It doesn’t get hot and we’ve had some hot days. I used it outside during chores but my son loves it more for fishing!

He wore it all day long to do yard work yesterday and it kept him cool all day , we live in Phoenix so it gets pretty hot during the day , so this hat is just perfect for us! Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the purposes of a lightweight hat that provides good shade cover and has a nice elastic synching strap, this hat gets the job done. The fabric is soft and and like most fabrics, if you get it wet and wring it out, it will keep cooler for a while. I didn't find anything special about it's cooling ability. My biggest complaints come from it's fit and appearance. The hat is quite droopy, for lack of a better term. The brim hangs down inconsistently too much for my taste and to me it gives it a more feminine sun hat appearance. The crown is also overly large and sags all around when worn. I also feel that the crown could use air holes if the product's goal is keeping cool. The side snaps are a nice feature to bring the brim up on the sides, but the crown isn't rigid so the brim pulls the crown outwards on both sides which makes the hat look odd. I will find times for the hat to be useful, but I feel it could be improved.

First, it helps, block the sun and as it states, keeps your head cool. Not a huge size and folds easy for packing. I’m very happy and look forward to purchasing additional hats for the family.

The brim around the hat is wide enough to keep the sun off your face and neck; providing excellent protection against the sun. It’s cooling feature is noticeable right away. It’s light weight and flexibility make it and excellent option for hiking and running or just going to the beach. Highly recommend.

It not even springtime yet but it already starting to get hot outside. I wore this hat while cutting grass this past weekend and I must say it felt nice. All I had to do was wet the inside of the hat and it was ready to go. The sun was beaming down but my head stayed cool the whole time. I like the brim part the hat. Besides providing shade for my face, it also provided shade for my neck and shoulders. There are buttons on each side where you can flap and hold the sides up if you like. We live next to 2 lakes so sometime there a random gust of wind. The adjustable chinstrap help keep the hat from flying off my head. Overall, the hat is stylish, it looks cool and keep you cool. I’m making this my beach hat going forward and I’m ready for summer.

It turned out to be amazing it protects from the sun and most important when I wet the hat it really does keep me cooler . I do my yard every week and have a vegetable garden so this bucket hat has been my go to hat ever since I received it . I can also just throw it in the washer with no problem comes out same way it when in can’t do that with my straw hats .
