Description

Use pre-construction brackets when installing ceiling speakers. The snap-away wings make it easy to mount your speaker first to the bracket itself, then between the studs. Made from ABS, this bracket works perfectly with joists spanning 12.5 inches to 29.0 inches. This bracket is designed to fit most round 6.5 inches installed speakers. Use the speaker clamps built into the ceiling speakers to attach the bracket, it's just that easy. This affordable time saver is a must have when installing speakers into new construction, whether it be an entirely new house, business, or your home theater project. Each bracket is sold individually.

    Great product, great price

    I bought the 6.5 inch round bracket to go with speakers that were marketed as 6.5 inch speakers. The cutout for those speakers is 8.25". This 6.5 inch bracket from Monoprice fits the speakers perfectly. Specifically, I used this bracket to mount the Sonance Mag6R speaker. Sonance makes a bunch of different speakers in this same form factor that would also fit this bracket. I really appreciate that these brackets are sold individually. I need 12 of them and I was worried I'd have to buy two 10-packs of brand-name brackets. That would have been a lot of waste. This is perfect.

    Will never build without these again

    Last time I did a house reno project I roughed in the speakers with single-gang boxes and spent hours cleaning them out and cutting holes. These made that whole process go away and resulted in perfect cutouts from my drywall crew. Wouldn't do it any other way ever again. Buy as many of these as you need and grab a few spares!

    To big

    There over sized for the speakers I have if it was under sided this would not be a big deal. I only use them to prevent dry wall installers from poking my un boxed wires from random places in the ceiling. I will likely use a can-light ruff in box next time.

    Didn't fit my 6.5" monoprice speakers...

    Cost to return then was more expensive than the item itself. Wasted money. I bought the Monoprice Alpha In-Ceiling Speakers 6.5in Carbon Fiber 2-Way with 15° Angled Drivers, but they were too big for the rings that I installed. I ended up ripping them out and cutting the drywall out more.

    10 inch diameter, doesn't fit "8 inch" speakers

    A lot of the reviews about this product hint at it, but these brackets don't actually fit "8 inch" speakers, especially the speakers sold from Monoprice. The housings on "8 inch" speakers are actually 10.6" diameter. Since these "8 inch" (10" diameter) brackets are smaller than the speaker housing, they do not fit correctly. Monoprice is selling these brackets but it doesn't even fit the speakers they sell under the same brand name. Hopefully this review helps someone out there and they don't end up in the predicament I'm in right now.
