  • A: It’s possible you held the brew / stop for 3 seconds and activated the clean cycle ~?~ This just happened to me right now .. Unplug the unit wait for the flashing hold button for three seconds and it should shut it off . If not repeat the process. I had to do it twice. I seems it fixed the issue.

To clean your coffee maker, follow the instructions below: Daily Cleaning: Always unplug the coffeemaker and allow it to cool before cleaning. Remove the filter basket, permanent filter, decanter, and decanter lid and wash them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap. Never use abrasive cleansers. Dishwasher top-rack safe parts: glass decanter and lid, filter basket, and permanent filter. The water filter disk is not dishwasher safe. Never immerse the coffeemaker itself in water, in any other liquid, or place it in the dishwasher. Decalcifying your Mr. Coffee® Coffeemaker: 1. Follow package instructions to prepare one batch of MR. COFFEE® Cleaner. Pour the mixture into the water reservoir. Before decalcifying, remove the water filtration disk. (20 fl. oz. of undiluted, white household vinegar may be used as a substitute for the cleaner) 2. Place an empty paper filter or permanent filter into the filter basket and close the brew basket lid. 3. Place the empty decanter back in the unit, centered on the warming plate. 4. Brew three cups of cleaning solution through the coffeemaker, turn the coffee maker off and let stand for 30 minutes. 5. Run the remainder of the cleaning solution through the coffeemaker. 6. Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the decanter thoroughly with clean water. 7. Fill the water reservoir with clean, fresh water. 8. Place the empty decanter back on the coffeemaker. 9. Remove and discard the paper filter used during cleaning, remove it and rinse it thoroughly before replacing it in the filter basket. 10. Begin brewing and allow the full brew cycle to complete. 11.     Liked this coffee maker a lot until it randomly started malfunctioning. The brew light continues flashing and heating after being turned off. Because the brew function can’t be turned off the only option is to unplug it when finished brewing and I can’t leave it plugged in for fear it will continuously heat/ delay brew function no longer works.

    Garbage.

    3rd time purchasing this, we buy one every year because it breaks in a year. This one only lasted 6 months. Warped on side and light flashes (we have gone through all the troubleshooting already). Cheaply made rubbish. Unable to make a claim online for warranty as it won't let me submit the information. Unable to get in touch with customer service. We are switching brands now and I suggest just avoiding Mr Coffee.

    Grounds in the coffee!!!

    The grounds wind up in the coffee pot every time! We have tried paper filters instead of the reusable one that comes with it and we have the same result! We have been using a strainer to strain our coffee into our cups. We have always had Mr. Coffee coffee makers and I thought I’d buy a more expensive model this time. I need a new coffee maker!

    one problem

    I've had this coffee maker for a few weeks. it is good, brews coffee quickly, easy to use. The only big issue I has is that if your carafe is not all the way in, it will keep filling with water. Water will overflow in the filter compartment making a huge mess and get coffee grounds everywhere. So always make sure that the carafe is pushed all the way in. If it is out just the slightest you will have a huge mess to clean up in the morning.

    DO NOT BUY

    If you like a cup full of coffee grinds then buy this. The basket overflows with water and washes 1/2 the grinds in the pot. We tried adjusting the spring and it did not help. We love Mr Coffee but this model is poorly built and is a piece of junk. Would not recommend to anyone. Buyer beware. As you can see in the picture, this was the first cup out of a full pot. Absolutely horrible.

    It was good until it wasn't

    Mr Coffee 12-cup Programmable: Easy to use but died on day 99 of ownership. I have never had issues with any of my previous Mr Coffee coffee makers, other than them just getting old. I am so disappointed with this one.

    Poor quality

    Purchased 18 months ago, now it won’t turn on and off. Tried to troubleshoot with online manual, cleaned it, no luck!

    Mr Coffee 12 cup programmable coffee maker

    Good coffee pot, always buy Mr Coffee. Good price, got on sale and free shipping. This is almost like the one I'm replacing. This one doesn't beep when the coffee is done and when it shuts off but not a deal breaker. Don't care for the 4 hours shut off time, my other one shut off after 2 hours. All in all, it's a good coffee maker and the coffee is hot.
