Q: Does it have to be screwed in the door?

  • A: The bar does not have to be screwed into the wall. The bar is assembled and then attached do the door frame via opposing forces. One side of the bar rests on the door frame on one side of the door.

Q: Do you have to screw it into the door from or wall for pull up bar or does it just rely on tension so you can remove it easily when not in use and close the door.

  • A: Seemly Target won't give an answer to this but so you all know I had an allergic reaction while assembling it so if you do have a latex allergy avoid this! Would love a reply but they don't care about allergies it seems. Learn how to label better.

    easy assembly, sturdy, but rubber needs reinforcement

    the pieces are all good size, I have a feeling a lot of these reviews are people who are not good at putting things together right. it was very easy assembly for me, but some of the pictures people are posting are not assembled the correct way as shown pictured on the front of the box. instructions could be a little better I guess. however, not just glazing this, my rubber handle split and I didnt even notice it right away and left a curved divet on my doorframe, which isn't a big deal, only noticeable if looking for it, but I can't use it, well guess I will try wrapping a towel or something around it so I dont ruin the doorframe any more. it is only 2 to 3 months old, so maybe I can return it for a new one and tape that part up to give it more support right away so it doesnt split again. I am only 150lbs and only use every few days for 5 to 10 minutes. I would recommend if the additional reinforcement at the beginning is all it needs to last.

    bad

    horrible. one bar is definitely longer than the other and the holes are disproportionate. There’s no way to assemble it without it being warped. Very dangerous to use! I’m requesting a refund. If you really only want to do seated dips it’s fine.

    flimsy bolts

    The bolts that come with this are super cheap and stripped immediately so they couldn’t be tightened properly. That made me nervous, so I went out and bought some carriage bolts from lowes to use instead and it’s okay. Get what you pay for I guess. Also, bends out of shape really easy if you forget it’s hanging in the door and accidentally knock it on the ground, but that’s my bad.

    Defective product, no refund

    The first one they sent was defective. The holes were drilled incorrectly and it could not be assembled right. They sent a replacement that was also defective so I requested a return, but since it was the free replacement to the original, they refunded me $0.00 listed as the item cost and not the money I spent on the original items. Target kept my money and let me have 2 defective pull-up bars I can't use. It also said the product was ineligible for in-store return so I couldn't have gone to a store to make it right.
