Q: Can this be pressure mounted to stucco walls?

  • A: Thank you for your question. This gate when pressure mounted must be mounted to a flat even surface. When installing the gate with hardware it must be mounted into wood (stud in the wall). We would not typically recommend it to be used on stucco as it is not flat.

    Not Pressure Mount Gate

    This gate is NOT pressure mounted. It states that mounting hardware is required for the gate to work. They would probably argue it uses pressure within the mounts, but that is totally misleading. The point of pressure mount is ease of use and reuse in different areas. If it requires mounting hardware, then it doesn’t compete with proper gates. Target should not be selling this. It is going back.

    Don't waste your time on this one

    Worst gate ever. I am not new to baby gates. Have had so many types and they all work as they should. No one in my family, nor guests, like this gate. Super frustrating abd belongs in the trash.

    You can adjust to your door feame, but will not lock in pace.

    This would fit in my door frame but would not lock in place. Returning the 2 I bought. I would’ve love this because it was plastic.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this gate. I don’t know why, but I’ve had trouble finding a good pressure mounted gate and this was fantastic. It stayed even after my child jostled it around. Definitley read the instructions bc extra pieces need to be installed to pressure mount. It keeps my child from accessing the rest of the house after he is put to bed and it makes me feel much safer at night knowing that gate is up and secure.

    Installation required

    You have to install wall cups for this to work. Not at all useful if you plan on using between multiple rooms. Can’t comment on how durable, we returned once we saw there was assembly required in order to use.

Im assuming mist people are using this indoor but because it's plastic i figured I'd try. Its worked great and holds up well. Its great knowing my daughter is safe by the stairs
