Description

Enjoy a comfortable home climate with this versatile BLACK+DECKER 8,000 BTU (5,000 BTU SACC) portable air conditioner unit. Cools the air down to 61 degrees Fahrenheit , dehumidifies up to 50 pints every 24 hours, and circulates air with 3 fan settings to stand up to summer heat in rooms up to 350 sq. ft. Offering immediate, uninterrupted comfort with it's up and down auto air swing, this Portable Air Conditioner features easy-to-use LED electronic controls and is quiet while you sleep, 52dB on highest setting. Window kit includes foam seal, slider bracket, 5.9 inch diameter air exhaust hose, hose inlet and outlet, 2 locking screws and drain hose. Works in double hung or sliding windows only. To minimize noise and vibration, the air conditioner should be placed on a firm floor. For safe and secure positioning, place the unit on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit. Connect the duct and make sure it can function properly. Also note that, micro processor control delays the compressor from operating until 3 mins have passed. Thermostat range is from 61 degrees to 88 degrees Fahrenheit. Includes easy to use LCD remote control (2 AAA batteries required for remote - not included). 115V~/60Hz. 860 Watts. The air conditioner has clearly been returned previously and it is missing the instruction manual for installation. I don’t trust an opened product when I paid this much for it. It’s frustrating and will be a challenge to return considering the weight and size. It also arrived a full week after the expected delivery date.

Excellent cooling for our bedroom!

An excellent choice of portable AC units for our bedroom. (400 sq. ft.) Easy setup just like they said. Attractive design and keeps us cool all night. We really like the timer which saves on electricity too

Not cool enough

My only complaint is I need to keep the model on all night. It's not cool enough to keep the room cool when only a fan goes on.

Not as cold as I was hoping

I bought this a few weeks ago. I do like the product a lot but it feels like the air is not as cold as I would like even at the lowest setting. The device also turns off randomly when I have it set to dehumidifier and I'm not sure why.
