Fits well
After my horse recovered from laminitis the farrier recommended this boot. It fits well and stays on, I’m so happy and so is my horse!

Great boots!
My mare had become tender-footed on the trails, pulling off to walk in soft grass whenever possible. With these boots, she’s comfortable in all footing.

Great Hoof Boots
My horse was having some heart issues, and we had to pull his front shoes. He has soft soles, so I was looking for a durable and protective boot I could put on him for turn out and also to be ridden. These work great for both and he seems to enjoy wearing them. He was on the edge of 2 sizes so I did have to exchange for 1 size smaller.

Wear Out
I bought these a few weeks back and they are definitely too big. I should have gotten slim and a size smaller. I've now realized that I should size down instead of up when in-between sizes. They also started wearing out and getting larger the more my horse had them on, which I didn't expect much of since they are not leather. So, just made the fit even worse. Velcro isn't the best either. Everything else I think is really great. If they could just figure out how to get a snugger fit (even if they were the correct size on my part, I think I'd still be having slight issues) then they would really be top of the line. I use therapy boots for my horse when in a stall and then trail boots for turnout since my horse has laminitis and thin soles (which makes him throw shoes easily and then rip his foot up). Very happy with how these boots work in turnout, minus the fit (my fault, which causes him to get them off quite often), and minus the fact that the velcro just won't be lasting much longer. They give you extra velcro straps but the inside velcro is wearing as well. Almost there with design. Also, please add even more tread!

Great for rocky trail rides
I bought these for my mare who was switched to aluminum shoes. She became tender footed while trail riding. These work great! Save her hooves and the shoes! We trot and canter with no Issues.

Jury still out on these Cavallos
I think the Covello boots are well-made. I lack experience in fitting, and my horse has two different size feet in front. So I think I will need to return them...too tight on one foot and sloppy on the other, just by slipping them on and checking for play. (No riding). Wouldn’t you know it, my little “Princess” mare is between sizes, story of my life! I did notice that inside one boot the raw edge of the leather in the inside was not tucked under the sole and stitched down as it should be. Just a minor workmanship issue, but I wonder if it will still hold up as well? Also on the other boot, the heel bulbs are noticeably crooked, so much that it would rub one side against the horses heel. That boot seems too small anyway, so I will be returning it.90

Caused sores from rubbing.
I ordered these because we were using the same brand from a friend. These were a different style but same size. The other shoes were perfect. These caused sores from rubbing and had to stop using. Wasted money.

Easy to put on, good fit.
My very particular mare adapted to the Cavallo Trek boots right away. We’ve ridden steep hills, through mud, and on gravel roads with no issues. I’m planning on getting the same boots for another horse,

Gave my horse new joy in trail riding
I bought these boots for my horse because she was often stiff and sore after our trail rides. I have had them about a month and use them two to three times per week for trail riding. They are easy to put on and maintain. My horse moves more easily and is eager to go out on the trail now that she has her boots. We have had several trail rides and no stiffness or soreness after.

Very easy to put on!
I've been using these for turnout on my ottb who has awful feet. My horse loves to run in the field and these saved my horses hooves. She can as much as she wants without the worry of her pulling a shoe. They are VERY easy to put on and take off. They take some time to break in but definitely worth the time and money.

Better than expected!
I bought these boots 9 months ago to help my horse while he was growing some new hoof. After a very wet spring & summer last year my horse, who has always had low heels and weak hoof walls, could not keep his front shoes on. He was getting back to back stone bruises which then lend to accesses. I wanted to do whatever it took to allow him to grow healthy hooves, so with the vet and farrier's help I pulled his shoes no riding or work of any kind and we kept him in his stall whenever it was wet/damp outside. I could hand graze him once the dew had dried off the grass. After a couple of weeks of being "stall bound" my poor horse was going crazy. I needed to find a way that he could at least be turned out while he was growing new hoof. I decided to give the Cavallo Trek Boots a try. I really just hoped they would stay on while turned out, he likes to race around like a crazy man when first turned out, so I didn't have I hopes they were stay on or last very long. Wow! I could not have been more impressed. They stayed on, actually kept his feet dry in the damp morning grass and after a couple of months his feet had gotten strong enough I decided to try riding in them. Again, I didn't have high hopes. We do low level dressage and I just figured the trek boots were ok to maybe trail ride in but not to do any "actual" riding in. I could not have been happier with the results! My horse had no issues working with his trek boots on! They do make a funny noise that he was totally used to from being turned out in them so was never an issue in effecting his performance. He loves his trek boots! He lifts his feet every morning to ask for them before being turned out. In less than 6 months time the vet and farrier could not get over how much new hoof wall he had grown and how well he was moving. His feet had improved so much he could have had shoes put back on, but the farrier loved the way his heel was growing and he was no longer flat footed! He wanted me to try going as long as possible barefoot with him. To continue turn out in the trek boots but try riding in the soft footing of the ring without the boots and see what would happen. Nine months later that is what we are still doing! The Trek Boots have held up beautifully from pretty much daily use for 5 or 6 hours a day for over nines months, woohoo! We are having another very wet summer and my horse now has the strongest feet in the barn! Thank you CavalloTrek Boots!

(no review title)
I bought 2 Cavallo Trek boots because I ride a minimum of four times a week and her hoof wear exceeds her hoof growth because she is barefoot. I'm so happy with these boots! Easy to slip on and tighten, love the way the boot fits my horse's hooves, and these boots stay on! I bought 2 more for her back hooves and she is now growing more heel. Can't say enough good things about these boots!

Life Saver
Since we moved to Texas I have had nothing but trouble with my OTTB mares feet. Farriers just don't seem to know what to do. So after having yet another Hot Nail which turned into an abscess, my trainer suggested using boots. I had never heard of such a thing. So I got a new farrier who also suggested boots. After some research and measuring (she wears a size 2 slim) I ordered the Cavallo Trek Boots with the gel pads. They are a little tough for the horses to break in so I recommend getting the Liners (socks). After using the boots for about a year now my horse is pain free, moving great and actually growing hoof wall. They are on during the day and off in her stall at night. She actually waits for me to put them on in the morning before she will leave her stall. Just having her comfortable is worth every penny. Now if we can just get them approved for showing.

Works Great!
This boot works very well for my horse with laminitis. It is very easy to put on and she doesn't mind wearing it at all. Fits well and easy to clean.

Durable, stays on
Purchased on the recommendation of our vet, an equine limb specialist, for an aged mare wtih tender soles. She walks normally in these boots, even frolics, and the boots stay on. Easy to work with also. Great product.

So far so good!
I only bought these boots a month ago because my thoroughbred had his front shoes taken off for the winter so I can't comment on wear and tear. He was a little tender in our dirt arena so I bought these. They fit great. He doesn't even notice they are on. They are well made and durable. I am excited to see how he does next summer on the trails Instead of shoes. I'm a little bummed they were so expensive so we will see how long they last. It also says not to canter with them which is a bummer too because he loves to run.

Great boot
Been using for about 2.5 months transitioning my horse to barefoot. We use the gel pads and the Pastern wraps otherwise he get rubs. Only twisted once in many hours of use. Never come off. Been through water and mud and loads of rocky terrain. Only complaint is it rubs and bruised my horses heel bulb, but his feet are still transitioning so I think they're not the perfect shape for any boots yet. I've been really happy with these despite the couple of hiccups.
